Reasons for Voting for Joe Biden or Donald Trump

Here is a golden opportunity to express, in your very own words, what it is about Joe Biden or Donald Trump that inspires you to vote for him.

Tell us all the REASON you are going to vote the way you are.

Read the Red Box rules before commenting.

Infractions will be deleted on sight.

Red Box Rules

No comparisons between Biden and Trump, period.

That isn't the topic.

No "My guy isn't as bad as the other guy" or any cutesy wordplay trying to get around the rules.

I can't provide any reasons cause I wouldn't vote for either of them.  The fact that I can't vote in an American election is a primary reason why I wouldn't.  I do have reasons why I wouldn't, but then I'd be off topic.

I understand.

This is to elicit legitimate reasons for voting FOR one of them. I don't consider "Not as bad as so-and-so" as legitimate and was hoping for something JUST a little more in depth and convincing.

I don't know if there simply aren't real reasons or people are simply ashamed of their choice.

Thanks for your comment, though.

That is an utterly false claim.

You are free--in fact--ENCOURAGED, to list legitimate reasons to vote for Biden or Trump but have thus far declined to provide even ONE reason.

Do you have any?

Actually, I was quite amused by his Red Box Rules.

I have asked the question multiple times on other articles and have never once received an answer that didn't involve comparing the two, which simply leads to a bunch of b.s. that I am not interested in seeing again.

Kind of looks like no one can think of a single reason to vote for one based solely on the candidate's own merits. How sad is that?

Just trying something different tonight.

Don't feel bad if there's not much action on your topic, although American politics seems to me to be the number one topic on this site.  Hey, I post articles about movies, creative arts, cars, boats, foreign lands and cultures, English literature and I don't get a lot of response but I don't care.  After all, I learned many years ago that variety was the spice of life.

It's not ridiculous or impossible.  Just difficult.  And The RBR's eliminate the typical "but (insert name here)..." nonsense arguments.  It forces people to THINK.  From there its a matter of articulating your reasoning.

Well, I won't feel bad about the lack of comnents, I'll feel bad that folks can't come up with reasoned, legitimate reasons to vote for one of the two.

It speaks volumes about voters and is one of the reasons why we have the nominees we do.

It forces people to THINK.

Perhaps that explains the lack of comments despite the large share of NTers who will vote for one or the other.

It doesn't take any thought, really, to vote for the lesser of two evils.

Ok,

I'll go.

1) Trump will shut down the border and stem the flow of illegals. He will deport as many of the ones already here that he can. No, he will never get all of them; but at least he will try,

2) Trump will end Brandon's toxic EO/EA's against drilling for oil on federal lands. Sure we are the #1 oil producer in the world- but that is because of fracking. We are still not producing nearly enough to supply ourselves and our allies. Enriching our enemies like Iran and Russia by importing oil from them is costing us far more money in the long run. Just look at the 90 plus billion foreign aid package that passed. Ukraine (Russia); Israel (Iran funded military groups); and Taiwan (China).. This will be a never ending sink hole for tax payer money so long as we continue to enrich out enemies so they can fund their war machines.

3) Trump will at least try to end the war in Ukraine and stop the draining of US taxpayer money and military resources. If nothing else he will damn well make sure Europeans honor the commitments they have already made to Ukraine. No more US doing all the heavy lifting while European countries watch. Looking at you Germany and France especially. Also, Trump damn well won't let the US get dragged into a war against Russia- unless Russia attacks a NATO country. Something they aren't nearly strong enough to do right now. He will not allow Ukraine and Europe to drag the US into WWIII.

4) I trust Trump to extend the tax cuts that are set to expire. Brandon and the Democrats have stated repeatedly they are more than willing to let them expire. Democrats are still lying that these tax cuts only help the rich. If they are allowed to expire they will affect those living literally pay check to pay check right now. The economy will collapse under the lack of financial resources and high prices caused by Brandon's inflation.

5) I trust Trump to be and protect Trump. The FBI, CIA, IRS, and DOJ need to purged of Democrat control operatives. It will be a nearly impossible task; but I expect Trump to be the bill in the China shop that is needed. I also expect his second term in office will be just as big of a Democrat shit show in Congress with their federal government shills as the first go around.

6) The world will know where the US stands with Trump. I will not agree with all of his foreign policies but I know for sure that the US will no longer coddle Iran, China, or Hamas/Hezbollah. Sure the Palestinians will suffer under Trump; but anyone thinking Brandon is doing them any favors is sorely mistaken. Prolonging the inevitable is all he is doing. Causing more Palestinian deaths. If the world really wanted to help the Palestinians it would have done so long, long, ago. Now it is up to families and friends to work to get the ones they care about still stuck in the West Bank, Gaza, and Israel out. Not all of them will make it; but that is the real world.

That is it. So let the screaming about how neither is fit for office begin. Guess what, there is no perfect candidate this election. They all suck. Just pick the one that sucks the least in your opinion and vote tor them. But just know that if you go third party be prepared to live with either Trump or Brandon in the Oval Office- maybe the one you prefer least between the two.

"Four more years. Pause"

Yes, that is exactly what we need as a country./S

About the only one I disagree with up there is #4. Trump by himself cannot extend those tax cuts, it must come from Congress. And unless the Republicans hold the House and win 61 seats in the Senate they won't be able to extend them as Democrats from Trump's first term showed us that they are very unwilling to give Trump anything that looks like a political win.

This doesn't speak well for voters when they are unable to articulate reasons to vote for someone.
