First up on our Rough Ride we have the Review of Recent events.
Following the Inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States, the newly sworn in President immediately began to disassemble the structure of the Government of the United States of America by allowing himself near it, and by Executive Orders that ran contrary to the Letter and Spirit of 1) the Constitution of the United States and 2) the Laws passed by Congress, both of which mere minutes he had made a solemn oath to "faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
I wonder if he realized what he was saying? For instance the phrase, "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution" means the whole Constitution, and not just the bits he likes. That is, in addition to the Executive branch, he is enjoined to protect the Judicial and Congressional branches also. Ha! Silly me. He doesn't care what he is saying. We should, because he is telling us what he is doing, only under the guise of "fixing" the actions he himself is implementing. To Wit:

" Purpose. The American people have witnessed the previous administration engage in a systematic campaign against its perceived political opponents, weaponizing the legal force of numerous Federal law enforcement agencies and the Intelligence Community against those perceived political opponents in the form of investigations, prosecutions, civil enforcement actions, and other related actions. These actions appear oriented more toward inflicting political pain than toward pursuing actual justice or legitimate governmental objectives. Many of these activities appear to be inconsistent with the Constitution and/or the laws of the United States, including those activities directed at parents protesting at school board meetings, Americans who spoke out against the previous administration's actions, and other Americans who were simply exercising constitutionally protected rights.
The prior administration and allies throughout the country engaged in an unprecedented, third-world weaponization of prosecutorial power to upend the democratic process. It targeted individuals who voiced opposition to the prior administration's policies with numerous Federal investigations and politically motivated funding revocations, which cost Americans access to needed services. The Department of Justice even jailed an individual for posting a political meme. And while the Department of Justice has ruthlessly prosecuted more than 1,500 individuals associated with January 6, and simultaneously dropped nearly all cases against BLM rioters.
Therefore, this order sets forth a process to ensure accountability for the previous administration's weaponization of the Federal Government against the American people."
Translation:
"I lost the 2020 election, broke my Oath of Office and committed fraud against the people of the United States by my extralegal and unconstitutional attempts to remain in power even though I knew that I had lost the election. In addition, I did indeed commit many other civil and criminal actions before, during, and after my lawful term as President, and was legally prosecuted for doing so. I am so dirty and it started to catch up with me. But I am in power now, and all of that is going to change. Beginning right now. I will exact vengeance and retribution on all who try or tried to prosecute me buy prosecuting and persecuting them as I have done to many, many people over the years. All on the American taxpayers dime. The late, great Roy Cohn, Where is my Roy Cohn?... Taught me all I needed to know about how to be dirty and get away with it. Boy, did he know how to do that... him and Senator McCarthy. Where am I? Oh, Yes. Nobody can out-lawfare me because I have been using lawfare since the 1970's."

- While he was doing this his unelected billionaire friend Elon Musk was running around busily throwing sand in the gears of government in the guise of DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency. My research assistant, ChatGPT, when prompted with " Musk was targeting USAID right away. When did he begin telling them? ," responded:

My research assistant gets confused when asked similar questions repeatedly. It can't complete a list to save its electrons. Seems to do OK on the First iteration but gets progressively flakeyer the more you hit it with similar queries.

There are lots more arrows in my metaphorical quiver to pierce this buffoonish group, but that is all that I am going to shoot for now.

This administration is truly the worst in my memory. Never before have such colossal mistakes been been made as the President rips apart the government in pell-mell fashion and the administration is in danger of collapsing of its own ineptitude.
The administration is so over the top ... my concern is that the public is growing numb to it. Too many are becoming desensitized to abuse of power and utterly irresponsible governance. This is seriously bad news.
And hence the flood the zone strategy of Bannon.

I think that the American public is lost in gazing at their phones or the task at hand which allows them to put food on the table. For all of the kvetching about how much groceries cost before the election there sure has been a drop off in concern which leads me to believe that they truly don't care about much of anything in the political sphere.

If one reads the Article and Watches the video on Roy Cohn within, you will see from whence Trump gets his plays. None of this is new and was totally foreseeable if only one cared to look.
Roy Cohn, who was Olde Joe McCarthy's number one henchman, had four specially handpicked protégés whim he taught all of his political dirty tricks. They were Lee Atwater, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort and Donald Trump.

I wish I could find this amusing, but it scares me. I do not want to be minimalized and it looks like I am headed that way,
as it should any, and every one of US. Unfortunately, there was much Kool Aid consumed.
I think the thing that astounds me the most is that the people that bow down to him fail to see that they are the people he wants to defund (public education, SSI, food programs). I cannot understand it at all. Women that support a man that thinks they are beneath him (or that is where they should be). And if a woman disagrees with him he brings their looks into it. I just do not get it.
