The White House's chief of security has been hospitalized with COVID-19 since September, Bloomberg reports. Crede Bailey is reportedly "gravely ill" but contracted the coronavirus before the Rose Garden event celebrating the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, which has been linked to a widening outbreak. The White House did not disclose his infection or hospitalization. Bailey's job is largely comprised of approving credentials and security clearances for those accessing the White House.

I picked an older article to avoid mention of Trump or Biden.

Bailey was hospitalized for over 90 days, lost his left big toe, right foot and a portion of his right lower leg.

It's unclear if this was all COVID damage or if he had complications of diabetes.

Regardless, most of the recent articles I found had comments of awful people questioning the need for a Go Fund Me page

because "the Feds" have excellent insurance so it must be a scam.

Crede was recently moved to rehab to get fit for a prosthetic right leg.

No politics

Diabetes is an underlying condition that makes COVID so dangerous to people with the disease..

Hopefully, Mr. Bailey will recover and be able to move on with his life.

I knew Mr. Bailey was in for it when it was reported that he had body parts amputated.  That he has entered rehab is good news.  I hope all the best for him.   (bg biting cyber tongue regarding blame for Crede Bailey's predicament.)

Hence the Go Fund Me page for modifications to home, auto etc.

I found it.

I'm sure his morale was greatly boosted by the President's visit.
