Trump called crowd gathered before Jan. 6 riot 'loving' | TheHill

yeah, they were. fascist loving... sedition loving...
Former President Trump in the months after the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol called the crowd he spoke to on the Ellipse ahead of the attack "loving," according to audio published by The Washington Post late Wednesday.
The remarks came in a March interview with Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker for their new book "I Alone Can Fix It," which was published Tuesday after early excerpts revealed tensions among top administration officials in the lead-up and aftermath to the riot.
In the newly released audio, Trump said in the interview from his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Fla., that he hoped the crowd gathered for his Stop the Steal rally and other rallies on the National Mall that day would show their support for his unsupported claims of fraud in the 2020 election.
"Personally, what I wanted is what they wanted," he told the reporters, who repeatedly asked the former president what he hoped would have happened when he urged his supporters to march toward the Capitol.
"They showed up just to show support because I happen to believe the election was rigged at a level like nothing has ever been rigged before," he said.
Trump said that the people gathered to hear him and others speak at the rallies that day "was a loving crowd."
"There was a lot of love, I've heard that from everybody," he continued. "Many, many people have told me, 'That was a loving crowd.' "
Trump went on to say that he did not mean to tell his supporters to go into the Capitol building, where lawmakers were gathered to certify President Biden's Electoral College win, claiming that rioters were "ushered in by police."
"The Capitol Police were ushering people in, the Capitol Police were very friendly," he asserted.
While Democrats and others have raised concerns about whether some officers may have been complicit in the riot, citing video showing some reportedly moving barricades so rioters could break through and at least one officer who posed for a selfie with a rioter, Washington, D.C., and Capitol Police officers were among those who suffered severe injuries while attempting to respond to the rioting.
Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died after sustaining injuries, and two other officers in the weeks following the mob attack died by suicide.
In response to the newly unveiled interview, Trump spokesperson Liz Harrington tweeted a clip from Trump's Jan. 6 address on the Ellipse, in which crowds began chanting "we love you," after he said he could "go on and on" about the widespread fraud he falsely claimed "took place in every state."
Harrington also tweeted previously reported video footage shared by CNN appearing to show the one officer posing for a selfie, and another that she said showed Capitol Police "open doors for the protestors" and "stand aside and invite them inside."
In the interview for the book, in which the reporters detailed that Trump told his vice president, Mike Pence that he didn't "have the courage" to reject the results of the 2020 election, the former president said that he is "not locked into anything" as far as a potential 2024 running mate, but added he was "disappointed" in Pence.

Hmmmm, much like the skinheads were "fine" people.
I typed the word shithead one time and skinhead popped up - same thing only the skinheads are way lower on the scale than that.
skin must be what's under the shit that's covered by a maga hat...
Trump probably considers snuff films as romcoms.
He probably jerks off to them.
I once went to a snuff film not realizing what it was. I found out the next day, cried for four days, and had nightmares for a week after.
That's horrible! I cannot believe there are actual audiences for such depravity.
This was in the early 70's and they have been outlawed since then to be shown in theaters. During the Hitler regime, snuff films showing jewish women being raped, brutalized, and killed were very popular. Men would actually jerk off watching.
That is truly disgusting.
Did you ever watch American Horror Story? The season with the circus shows that the headliner of the circus was a victim of a snuff film in Hitler Germany. She had her legs sawed off
If you can find it, check out The Infiltrator with Oliver Platt. I never have seen AHS.
If the Trump Insurrection on January 6th was really "Loving" and police were really welcoming them with "Hugs" then the gop should be demanding a quick and thorough investigation to prove this is true...
Of the over five hundred insurrectionists arrested for violent crimes committed on January 6th none of them were either BLM or ANTIFA. Not even one!
They were loving tourists, everyone knows that.
He has a real obsession with being loved and adored...just like your garden variety cult leader.
Hey, trmp! Jim Jones called! He has the recipe for the Killer Koolaid!
OMG I was watching a program about that just the other day. It's pretty chilling - they probably would.
When a mob of President Trump’s supporters stormed the Capitol building on Wednesday, they forced an emergency recess in the Congressional proceedings to officially certify the results of the 2020 presidential election. The disruption came shortly after some Republican lawmakers made the first of a planned series of highly unusual objections, based on spurious allegations of widespread voter fraud, to states’ election results. The chambers were separately debating an objection to Arizona’s results when proceedings were halted and the Capitol was locked down.
When the Senate reconvened at 8 p.m., and the House of Representatives an hour later, the proceedings — including the objection debates — continued, although some lawmakers who had previously planned to vote with the objectors stood down following the occupation of the Capitol. Plans to challenge a number of states after Arizona were scrapped, as well — but one other objection, to Pennsylvania’s results, also advanced to a vote. Here are the eight senators and 139 representatives who voted to sustain one or both objections.

A picture with an earlier version of this article was published in error, and misidentified the man shown as a United States Representative from Pennsylvania. The image showed Craig Keller, a congressional candidate in 2020, not Representative Fred Keller. The photo has been replaced.
Of course...the Usual Suspects
I always wondered what they looked like without the hoods and sheets...
Yeah, JJ keeps removing it from his Turd Reich article but I say we need to let everyone see the pictures of these scumbag traitors!
Jeff Van Drew? People voted for him? Damn.
Nothing says "loving" when being beat within an inch of your life.
No biggie. 'Orange Flotsam' also said, "I love the uneducated." There it is. There you have it. The Lysergic Acid Diethylemide crowd.
