This is a simple little side dish my family would have when I was little.

It's so easy and it can go with just about anything, so I thought I would share it with you all.

You will need just one large can of whole tomatoes with juice. (28 oz) 1 small onion sliced, 2 T. of water and salt and pepper to taste.

In a medium bowl, add the tomatoes cut up with the juice, sliced onions, water and salt and pepper to taste.  Sometimes you can add basil for a different flavor but we didn't. Cover and chill for 3 hours.

Great in the summer for a little refreshing side dish.

Sounds like a very refreshing addition for a warm summer day.
