Xi's zero-COVID policy shows why Communist China remains a threat
As with its voracious intellectual property theft, its imperial claims of ownership over Taiwan and the South China Sea, and its domestic repression of ethnic minorities and political dissidents, the CCP is proving one again in Shanghai why it is the most lethal organization in the history of humanity. Xi, like his predecessors who ordered the Tiananmen crackdown and the Great Leap Forward, cares little about the grave suffering of his people, just as long as his regime can avoid negative...

China is an evil empire, a genocidal regime.  Xi is the face of evil in the world.  There is no bigger danger to our world than the Peoples Republic of China.  It is a clear and present danger to freedom, individual rights, religious liberty.  There is no greater danger to the rule of law, democracy, and free market capitalism than this regime.

Xi's zero-COVID policy shows why Communist China remains a threat

X i Jinping has a problem. Facing a surge in COVID cases across China, the general secretary's Communist Party subordinates have unleashed a new wave of harsh lockdowns.

The most recent victim of China's fanatical zero-case COVID approach is Shanghai. With 25 million citizens, Shanghai is both China's top financial and export hub and its most populous city. But the lockdown isn't proceeding smoothly. Although domestic censors are working overtime to remove negative reports, videos posted to other social media outlets show great human suffering. Citizens are complaining of inadequate food, medical, and other supplies. Hospitals appear to be overwhelmed. Patients are being forcibly separated from their families or even left to die. Servants of blind obedience rather than moral nuance, Communist officials are requiring even the asymptomatic to abandon their jobs and families if they test positive.

Chinese Communist Party organs assure the world that the people's interests are being cared for. A Global Times editorial Monday lamented the idea that the West has handled the virus more effectively than China. Such assertions, the editorial claims, are "utterly groundless, morally and scientifically." Instead, the West's strategy of living with COVID is "a cruel social Darwinism. In contrast, China has protected the elderly and the patients with underlying medical conditions, which is very remarkable."

It is a lie that would be funny were it not so foul.

As the Associated Press reports , the elderly are suffering most under China's new and fanatical COVID regimen. Although the Communists ludicrously claim that no one has yet died from the virus during this latest Shanghai wave, many elderly patients have died because infected medical staff were forced to stop working and go into isolation. The Global Times says these "complexities to people's normal lives" are not a consequence of the regime's zero-case policy but rather are occurring "precisely because they have not implemented the dynamic zero-COVID policy, resulting in a series of problems."

The idea that a more callous and unthinking policy would lead to better outcomes reflects the zealotry of Xi's minions — to pause and contemplate, after all, would be to risk discovering that the all-knowing CCP might not have answers.

Unfortunately for Xi, he cannot hide the truth forever. Shanghai's population is vast. Its connectivity with the international economy is making this fiasco nearly impossible to conceal. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. What is happening in Shanghai has occurred in numerous other Chinese cities since the pandemic began more than two years ago. In January, for example, the city of Xi'an's 13 million people suffered a similar crisis of food and medicine shortages. Their experience contrasted with that of CCP apparatchiks in Hong Kong, who partied it up, contracted COVID, and then blamed Western flight attendants for starting an outbreak in the city.

As with its voracious intellectual property theft, its imperial claims of ownership over Taiwan and the South China Sea, and its domestic repression of ethnic minorities and political dissidents, the CCP is proving one again in Shanghai why it is the most lethal organization in the history of humanity. Xi, like his predecessors who ordered the Tiananmen crackdown and the Great Leap Forward, cares little about the grave suffering of his people, just as long as his regime can avoid negative attention sufficiently to survive. What Xi fears most is a popular political response to his autocratic mismanagement. This is why Beijing is so extraordinarily sensitive to criticism of its policy.

When and whether the Chinese will mount an organized political response to his rule remains unclear. However, the rest of the world should pay close attention to what is happening in Shanghai because China currently aims to expand its power and influence around the world as a replacement for the American-led, rules-based system that dominates today. If Xi is willing to treat his own people this poorly, how should others expect a rising Chinese global hegemon to treat them?

China owes the world and its people trillions in reparations for what they have done and how they covered up their crimes against humanity.

Shanghai has turned into a shitshow, small riots, food and medicine shortages, mass pet killings.  some of the more ridiculous state media posts behind the great Chinese Firewall are now being translated for western readers. They are something, with alot of pro Russian propaganda mixed with lies about Covid:

"Among those posts: a prominent military blog falsely claiming a  Russian attack on a train station  in Kramatorsk was actually carried out by Ukraine, a well known media commentator dismissing the  atrocities in Bucha , and a vlogger with hundreds of thousands of followers   using a misogynistic term for Ukraine...
"Even before the social media era, the way China talks internally through its state media is something it doesn't appreciate being parsed and translated for the world," said David Bandurski, director of the China Media Project, a research program in partnership with the Journalism & Media Studies Center at the University of Hong Kong.
And when it comes to Ukraine, China has sought to portray itself -- at least to overseas audiences -- as unaligned and invested in calling for peace. But its media coverage back home tells a different story, Bandurski said.
"If you just look at (state) media coverage, it's really hard to talk about neutrality ... Everything they have said is amplifying disinformation and aligning with Russia in terms of narratives."
."

Welcome to Zero Covid #Shanghai , where Rumors do not exist because they are Refuted everyday.

Everything is Perfect!
No Armed Police taking Control.
No one Committing Suicide.
No companies Forced To Shut Down. #Orwe

Indoctrination begins from young. Is the CCP greater, or the law greater?
Correct Answer To Memorize: Both are equally great, you cannot choose, it is the same as choosing between your mother and your father.

Tucker Carlson earlier this week showed us several minutes of video from Shanghai showing the sheer horrors going on there. Info is trickling out of there of them senseless horror and brutality caused by Xi and his China virus policies.
