Transcript tampering? DOJ says written record of Biden interview with prosecutors omitted words
By: Madeleine Hubbard
The Justice Department admitted in a federal court document that the transcript of President Joe Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur regarding his handling of classified documents omitted some repeated words and filler words such as "um."
The Justice Department has refused to turn over the audio tapes of Biden's interview to Congress, citing concerns about "deep fake" technology that could allow the audio to be altered and presented as authentic.
"Aside from minor inconsistencies (such as repeated words or the use of filler words such as 'um'), the audio recording of the interview accurately reflects the words spoken during the interview," the Justice Department said in a court filing Friday in response to a case filed by the conservative legal watchdog Judicial Watch, as well as the Heritage Foundation and a media coalition led by CNN.
Even though the Justice Department states that the transcript has been altered, it still includes some repeated and filler words. For example, the transcript showed Biden said, "and, and" more than 20 times.
"The transcript is not accurate and was changed in a way to help Biden," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. "There is nothing ordinary about this, and the transcript inaccuracy issues seem to help Biden's political campaign needs."

No surprise there.
What is it with the Democrats altering official records?
Your talking about a party that is still arguing over the definition of "is".
A party that can't tell the difference between male and female.
That think there are a countless number of genders.
That has come up with the term "birthing person".
That can conflate state misdemeanor book keeping laws and federal election laws to bring felony charges against their main political opponent.
That can charge a political opponent with mishandling of classified documents; but then mishandle the classified documents themselves during the investigation. That is after Bill, Hillary, Obama, and Brandon all mishandled classified documents. Some even went so far as to destroy evidence.
Altering records is nothing for them.
My question is simply - why do the Dems/Libs hate America so much???
Because it is the land of opportunity......If you are willing to work for it, which is the antithesis of their philosophy of, From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs. That's why they are constantly demanding the rich pay THEIR fair share, instead of paying it themselves.

The "deep fake" fearmongering is bogus. The audio could be made available in a controlled space at the DOJ where Congressmen could listen and compare to the printed transcript. That's not an unusual procedure for sensitive information.
Now that it's been publicly revealed that the transcript is not accurate, someone could make a "deep fake" of the transcript which could only be challenged with the actual recording. DOJ withholding access to the audio doesn't do anything to prevent "deep fakes" and imposes an obstacle to challenging "deep fakes".
Lie upon lie upon lie won't make Biden look honest. And the backhanded partisan jab at Republicans could end up biting Garland on the ass. The DOJ has told Republicans that someone needs to make a "deep fake" to get access to the actual recording. Just another Biden botch up where he gets what he's trying to prevent. Way to go, Brandon!
