Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday night if she is ready to be interviewed by his network.

Doocy asked Harris the question as she walked down the hallway following her nomination speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), as she has not sat for an interview since the launch of her campaign. Harris told Doocy she is "working toward" an interview.

"Are you ready for your Fox News interview?" Doocy asked.

"I'm working toward it," Harris said while laughing.

Harris has not announced any specific date for an upcoming interview or press conference since she launched her campaign on July 21. Her campaign's communications director Michael Tyler told CNN's Jim Acosta on Aug. 14 that Harris will commit to a sit-down interview by the end of August, but did not speak to any planned press conferences. Republican nominee Donald Trump held two press conferences on Aug. 8 and Aug. 15, where he answered questions from reporters part of the liberal media. The former president committed to three debates against Harris on Sept. 4, Sept. 10, and Sept. 25 during the first press conference, to which Harris has only committed to the Sept. 10 debate moderated by ABC News.

Trump appeared at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention in July that immediately turned hostile. ABC News reporter Rachel Scott began the event by recounting instances of Trump's alleged racism, with the former president characterizing her statements and question as "a disgrace."

CNN's Van Jones said on Aug. 7 that Harris cannot duck interviews for a long period of time, as she has a duty to be "available" for media appearances.

Harris accepted the Democratic nomination without releasing a policy platform, leading to many questions about where she stands on key issues. Harris' campaign website does not list any policies after a month since she launched her campaign, while Trump's website lists 20 bullet points of detailed policy proposals regarding the border, economy and social issues.

Check out the short video. The answer is the cursory laugh and an "I'm working on it". LMAO if you believe that, I have the world's tallest building for sale.

She can run but she can't hide forever.

Surely the voting public will note her obvious reluctance to face questions.

Poor Peter Doocy. He has tried so hard to ask questions to people who are all too often running away from him.

"I'm working toward it," Harris said while laughing.

Much like she worked to secure the border.

Well, as long as Harris can avoid the press, I guess no Harris supporters will be talking about any of her policies.

So far price controls and a massive tax increase.

Thus far, no details.

I suspect we will have to wait until after the election to find out.

So nothing that would benefit the people.  Not surprising.

If i remember right , John Kerry tried that as well in his run , said he had a plan , but he had to be elected before he would release it or the details .

Like we did in 2020.

Seeing how the economy continues to poll as the #1 issue for voters, this could really backfire on Harris. 2020 wasn't all that long ago and a lot of people still remember what she ran on in the primaries back then as well as how Biden campaigned as a moderate. Biden sure changed his feathers after winning the election and moved IMO far left. As she was his VP, she is involved in all the issues from the current administration and i have a hard time seeing how the electorate can ignore all that if she doesn't provide detailed policy. Of course Trump could continue to hammer her on her heritage and how she parts her hair and other stupid shit that doesn't mean much to the voters..

Fool us once, shame on you.

Fool us twice, shame on us.

But what can you expect when so many are so very heavily invested in voting against someone?

Yeah. I don't expect our non-votes to change the system in any way. IMO even if there were a majority of voters who refused to vote on the presidential election I don't believe it would make any changes in the system we currently have. The parties are not going to give up control as there's too much money and power in being part of those two parties. But I will sleep better knowing I followed my conscience rather than the crowd.

With the DNC convention now over, it could happen sooner rather than later.

At what point will the campaign be forced to have her answer some questions?

At what point will the campaign be forced to have her answer some questions?

Not if her campaign manager has any say in it.

Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign manager dodged questions about whether the Democratic presidential nominee would hold a press conference as her presidential bid   recently passed one month   since being launched.

Campaign manager Julie Chávez Rodríguez ducked questions from Fox News Digital on Thursday at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, keeping her head down and speeding away when pressed about Harris speaking to the press, which she has been avoiding.
