So if there were tsunamis in the past, does some of that water remain? If so, where is it. Many scientists believe it is frozen underground. If a significant source of water can be found on Mars, it not only makes human habitation possible by having a source of drinking water and water for hydroponic gardening that would be impossible to ship there economically, it also opens the door to using it as a power source through (with granted many scientific advances) hydrogen fuels sources.

I wonder if the group who plans to send a couple to Mars for an orbit, but not a landing will have instruments that will be more able to confirm the existence of frozen water on the planet? Then again I wonder if they will make it there and back alive. I do know one thing though. If they asked me to be one of the two, I would JUMP at the chance! It would be more then worth dying to try to do!
