Hate is not a political strategy
WASHINGTON, JUNE 23 – “Hate is not a political strategy,” says Dan Weber, president of the Association of Mature American Citizens. “We need a time out from the political vitriol that has been dividing our nation since President Donald Trump was elected last November. There have been just too many incidents of violent political discord-enough to threaten the future of the country.”
The founder of the nation’s largest Conservative senior advocacy organization said in a statement issued today, “every American, right or left, has a right to voice an opinion, but we don’t have a right to incite a riot and inflict bodily harm for the sake of a political viewpoint. The hatred directed against the president has reached a boiling point. It has been palpable and has led to violent protests and mayhem throughout the country. The lone gunman who went hunting for Republican lawmakers last week in Alexandria, VA is a worrisome example of what can happen.”
The shooter wounded four individuals who were practicing for a charity baseball game. He left House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) in critical condition. The shooter had a history of anti-Republican and anti-Trump social media posts, including one in which he wrote: “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”

The incident showed how out-of-hand things have gotten, so much so that the Justice Department says it would take special measures to address “ideologically motivated” crimes of violence by radical groups and individuals.
Weber called for “solidarity as a nation lest we destroy the future for our children and grandchildren. We should express political disagreement when it is warranted, but let’s keep it civil. We need to lower the volume and tone down the rhetoric. And, it is incumbent on our political leaders and the media to help us to do that. Things won’t get better until all of the people, those who voted for the president and those who didn’t accept the fact that Donald Trump is the duly elected president of the United States. We need to give him an opportunity to do the job for which he was elected.”
The AMAC chief pointed out that the administration and Congress have important work to do in order to fix the economy and a broken health care system. “These should be our top priorities, not political ideology. https://www.conservativedailynews.com/2017/06/hate-not-political-strategy/

Rally Against Political Violence Held Outside White House

Washington, D.C.- Emerald Robinson, Political Correspondent

Several hundred conservatives gathered today in front of the White House for a Rally Against Political Violence organized by author and filmmaker Jack Posobiec . The rally was held in response to the violent shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and others at a Congressional baseball practice.

Many social media icons and activists took the stage in what Posobiec described as a “peace rally.” “I want it to be a warm hug to everyone in America today. A warm hug to say we can disagree on politics, we can disagree on which healthcare bill we want passed, but we don’t have to resort to violence or violent rhetoric,” explained Posobiec.

Well-known social media personality Michael Cernovich, who also spoke at the rally, called for the need for civil discussion among groups of differing opinions. He also called-out “Fake News Media” whom he says is inciting violence and discord with charged language. “Your phone is your best weapon,” he said while encouraging the crowd to be a catalyst for change.

Attendees applauded and cheered to a call for peaceful free speech by other speakers like former Virginia gubernatorial candidate Corey Stewart. They sang the national anthem in unison and, reminiscent of a hippee-era-gone-by, flashed the peace sign. Violent anti-Trump statements made by public figures such as Kathy Griffin and Johnny Depp were denounced.

Posobiec says that he hopes today’s message supercedes party affiliation and ideology. “Regardless of sides, regardless of politics–we want an end to the violent rhetoric and an end to the violence before people get seriously hurt.”

Hate is not a political strategy

To paint the left or the Democrats in general with what happened to Congressman Scalise is to show how perverse the far right wing has become in it's search for victimization. They reveal a disease among themselves that is like cutting open a worm filled tree trunk to reveal the rot within. The worms of their hate and sickness slither out looking for healthy humans or other trees to infect with their illness and if the find none they rant about how it is not their fault that they are the ones filled with the sickness of hate and are trying to spread it or blame it on others because of one diseased man. Their attempt to spread their own plague shows how desperate they are to empty themselves of the pus of hate they hold deep in their own souls. Shame on them and I hope for them that they find a cure before the infection in their own bodies eats them alive, though I fear it is too late for most. Certainly it is too much, much late for the one who seeded this thread and the first to have posted in it.

Quit transferring the acts of hate and violence along with the hateful words from the so called "resistance" to those who are their victims.  Hate is no political strategy and yet that's all the progressives have.  Trying to deny the present administration it's normalcy is political hatred pure and simple

Randy's take of the article and I guess the first comment is interesting.  You think he'd be willing to buy us a couple dozen donuts?

The most virulent, violent hate I see here is from liberals. They long for a civil war and death wish those who don't follow their idelogy. See above.
