Report: Hillary Clinton protected aide accused of sexual harassment in 2008

Hillary Clinton   reportedly asked to keep an adviser to her 2008 presidential campaign onboard, despite accusations that he had sexually harassed a young woman.

The New York Times  reported that Burns Strider, Clinton's faith adviser at the time, was accused of harassing a 30-year-old woman who sharing an office with him. The woman told the campaign that Strider sent her suggestive emails, rubbed her shoulders inappropriately and kissed her on the forehead.

A sexual harassment report was made to campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle. Doyle reportedly approached Clinton and asked that Strider be fired. Clinton declined to do so, and Strider remained on staff.

Strider, who was married at the time, instead was docked several weeks of pay and was ordered to undergo counseling, per the  Times .

The young woman, who reportedly signed a nondisclosure agreement that prevents her from publicly speaking about the campaign's inner workings, was moved to a new job.

"To ensure a safe working environment, the campaign had a process to address complaints of misconduct or harassment. When matters arose, they were reviewed in accordance with these policies, and appropriate action was taken," read a statement from the law firm that represented the 2008 campaign. "This complaint was no exception."

Strider reportedly worked for an independent group that supported Clinton's 2016 candidacy. He was fired from that position for workplace issues, including allegations that he harassed a young woman.

Strider still appears to be close with Clinton. He attended her birthday party in October, along with his son.

An active Twitter user, he tweeted several times about the Alabama Senate special election between Democrat Doug Jones and Republican Roy Moore, who faced several accusations of sexual misconduct.

Strider also appeared to mock conservative Bill O'Reilly, who said he was mad at God over his own sexual harassment scandal.

Prior to the 2008 Clinton campaign, Strider worked on Capitol Hill, including as as a senior adviser to then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif

Hasn't she has been protecting a sexual predator her whole marriage?

Indeed she has, enabling him over and over, and vilifying his victims. And now her latest scandal....

Remember, back in the day, everyone swept that under the carpet.  Why should someone saw herself as the leader of the Democratic Party and candidate for the highest office on the land rock that boat?  not listening

They did it during the election to.  Anybody that mentioned it was chastised.

Clinton was entirely wrong in failing to dismiss Strider … no equivocation!

And since we're repudiating such behavior and the intentional failure to bring adverse actions against perpetrators, LET'S STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR TRUMP and others.

There is no excuse for ANY of them.  But the feeble attempt to take the high road as a "Champion for women" just makes this particular one look even more ridiculous.

Nobody is making excuses, like they did for Billy Boy Clinton, and the rest of these liberal lecherous leeches.

There are more victims.  These guys never just do this once.  I am sure there are more abuses that Clinton covered up for this guy.

Clintons are the most crooked and slimy people ever to have held a political office in our entire history.

But you guys won't say word one about …

Sexual misconduct allegations have been made against Trump by at least 19 women. [6]  Trump has denied the allegations, saying that he has been the victim of  media bias conspiracies , and a political  smear campaign . [7] [8] [9] [10]  In October 2016, Trump publicly vowed to sue all of the women who have made allegations of sexual assault (i.e. non-consensual kissing or groping) or sexual harassment against him, as well as to sue the  New York Times  for publishing allegations, [11] [12]  but as yet has not followed through. [13] [14]

I unequivocally stated the Clinton was derelict … but Clinton bashers look the other way when their Jess Willard's indiscretions are noted as being equally, if not more reprehensible and more numerous than that of others.

Think of it as analogous to "witness credibility".

In the law of evidence, a credible witness is a person making testimony in a court or other tribunal, or acting otherwise as a witness, whose credibility is unimpeachable. A witness may have more or less credibility, or no credibility at all. ... Several factors affect witnessescredibility.

While this forum is not a court nor tribunal, there is still the issue of constantly expressing indignation regarding particular indiscretions, BUT ONLY EXPRESSING THAT INDIGNATION SELECTIVELY AND ON A SOLELY PARTISAN BASIS!
It is otherwise a matter of hypocrisy.

Clinton's accusers were very credible, Trump's accusers, like Bill Cosby's,.......not very much

a matter of hypocrisy.

The hipocrisy is the reports against Clintons aid, her NOT firing him then coming out as "a champion for women" stating they all should be heard.

Hell, even Jeff Dahmer and Charles Manson are more credible than Clinton.

WHAT A PILE OF BULLSHIT!!!

People who give their blind, unquestioning  support to the WHShitbag® ought to know better than to scream accusations to anyone else of "bullshit."  But they don't so we get to ridicule their fathomless hypocrisy and dishonesty.

"What about" the left-wingers hypocrisy and dishonesty?  And Hillary never displayed any of those qualities, especially integrity.

She's such a joke. Congratulating the staffer for coming forward a decade after Hillary herself ignored the staffer's complaints of harassment.

Even if all the rightwing lies about HRC were true, she's still a paragon of virtue, intelligence, charm and integrity compared to the WHShitbag® they give blind support and unquestioning loyalty.

Calling this sexual assault is reaching and are an insult to those of us who were sexually assaulted. The only exception I will make is for the suggestive emails that I would like to see before I make a decision. Those actions are unprofessional and annoying but they aren't sexual.  Are catcalls and flirting also sexual assault equivalent of rape?
