Trump Wins His Club's Golf Championship Despite Missing First Day for Lynette Hardaway's Funeral
The next morning, insiders told the Daily Mail, the former president rolled up to the green at West Palm Beach with a five-point lead over his closest competition. The outlet reported that Trump boasted of having played an excellent round earlier in the week, and that that game would count as his first day's score.

PAR FOR THE COURSE

The former president apparently snagged first place even though he was at Diamond's North Carolina memorial service on the first day of his Florida club's championship.

Proving his own humble admission that he is "always the best at sports," Donald J. Trump seized the gold medal at his own Florida club's senior golf championship on Sunday.

Even more incredibly, the former president was able to claim victory despite completely skipping the tourney's first day, having been in North Carolina for Lynette "Diamond" Hardaway's memorial service.

Calling the win "a great honor" in a Truth Social post, Trump crowed, "Competed against many fine golfers, and was hitting the ball long and straight… You need strength and stamina to WIN, & I have strength & stamina - most others don't. You also need strength & stamina to GOVERN!"

As the event's other competitors teed off at Trump International Golf Club on Saturday, the club's namesake was nearly 700 miles away in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Trump was recorded onstage at Fayetteville's Crown Theater, eulogizing Diamond, the late pro-MAGA influencer who died suddenly at 51 a fortnight ago. "Through the tears and the grief, let us celebrate this incredible life," he said.

The next morning, insiders told the Daily Mail, the former president rolled up to the green at West Palm Beach with a five-point lead over his closest competition. The outlet reported that Trump boasted of having played an excellent round earlier in the week, and that that game would count as his first day's score.

When asked about the discrepancy, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung told The Daily Beast, "In addition to being an excellent golfer, President Trump is an even better human being. He was honored to be in North Carolina on Saturday to celebrate the life of Diamond, a remarkable individual whose legacy will continue to live on."

Trump has long maintained that he has never once, ever, cheated at the game of golf—and that he's come by his many, many club championship titles honestly. In 2019, however, sportswriter Rick Reilly disputed the then-president's claims, telling Vox, "This guy cheats like a mafia accountant."

"Trump's going around telling people he has won 20 [club championships]," Reilly said elsewhere in the interview. "But that's 100 percent a lie. I actually played with him once, and he told me how he does it: Whenever he opens a new golf course, because he owns 14 and operates another five, he plays the first club champion by himself and declares that the club championship and puts his name on the wall."

It was not immediately clear if yet another little brass plaque bearing Trump's name had already been tacked up on the wall of his club's men's locker room on Monday.

This is your guy MAGA. Hold your heads up high !

By the way, it was well known prior to the 2016 election that Trump cheated at golf, declared himself the winner of "tournaments" where he was the only one entered, and had a wall at one of his courses clubhouse that was filled with fake magazines covers with his image on the front.

But MAGA needed expression for their desire to "take back" their country so they overlooked what an asshole this guy is.

The point of any live sporting event is that you compete in real time with the other contestants. What hilarity would ensue if a golfer on the tour said they should count his practice round from early in the week when he shot a 64, instead of the 74 he shot in the heat of competition.

Anyone who has played a round of golf knows the difference between the real score and the made up score. An indication of one’s character.

No surprise with that since he is the biggest liar although George Santos/Devolder is giving him a run for his money.
