Add France's largest daily newspaper, Le Monde, to foreign outlets that are decrying the forthcoming second Trump administration. After German newspaper Die Zeit'sheadline read simply, "F--k," Le Monde declared Trump's election to be the "End of the American World." The editorial explained: "The path on which Trump, strengthened for his second term by his party's success in the Senate, will take his country on diverges fundamentally from the one charted by the United States since the end of the Second World War.

It marks the end of an American era, that of an open superpower committed to the world, eager to set itself up as a democratic model." Trump put a "nail in the coffin" of Ronald Reagan's model of the U.S. as a "shining city on a hill," it added, citing Trump's stated intention to end military aid to Ukraine and to negotiate a peace deal that's more favorable to Russia.

La Monde loathed, absolutely loathed Reagan when he was President. No different than Trump.

Tell you what, Le Monde and all those other foreign papers can all go to hell and kiss my a** on their way down. Their opinion means little or nothing to me.

“Who cares?”

And some will care less when some members of our own press, a bastion of our democracy, are censored or even banned by the thin-skinned autocrats who have demonstrated so little regard for the Constitution.

Any yet weirdly the only administration that actively lobbied and coerced the press to follow their admins agenda was the Biden admin. where were you when they had so little regard for the constitution.

Sigh.............

"The officials have engaged in a broad pressure campaign designed to coerce social-media companies into suppressing speakers, viewpoints, and content disfavored by the government," a three-judge panel wrote. "The harms that radiate from such conduct extend far beyond just the Plaintiffs; it impacts every social-media user."

Europe, NATO are out of their minds if they trust the US. The old members, Germany is falling apart for a number of reasons, France is France who knows what they are doing, even they don’t. Those two countries no longer lead Europe. The countries IMO that are rising and understand the danger of Russia are the old Russia satellites. Poland is going to be leading Europe soon with their stance and arming up along with most of the old iron curtain countries, Romania, Chez, Slovakia, and the Baltic countries along with Scandinavia and some of the Balkan countries. England, who know that they can or will do since they are on the edge of BK.

As far as Trump pulling out of the FE, that would be nuts as well with both Japan and South Korea arming up and also producing their own heavy weapons along with some of the smaller Asia countries with their stragitic positions in the Pacific are a deterrent to China and NK. NK is getting something from Russia and I would bet it is info on nuclear weapons to advance their own program.

If Trump and the new administration does see the shifts taking place in the world with NK sending troops to Russia and Iran selling Russia both drones and misses and China coordinating with Russia should be sending a large message to the new admin, but since knows more than anyone I’m sure that he has a answer for it all. If Asian countries trust the US they to need their heads examined as well.

Here is a hypothetical question if China decides to take Taiwan by force could the US stop them or would Trump even try?

Meanwhile we are going to have a new Medical program (end of Obamacare) we will not be paying taxes any longer and with Kennedy in charge of vaccine we are going to be greater than the greatest country in the world in pandemics. Oh, and the tariffs replacing our taxes is another gem, welcome inflation and and higher prices on most everything since other countries are not going to stand by and not retaliate. Those are just a few of the promises Trump has made and they will certainly be watched carefully.

Anyhow we are off on a new adventure as a country.
