Biden makes bizarre claim about grandfather's death during first speech after announcing campaign | Just The News

During the 2020 presidential campaign, he told a strange anecdote about his past experience with a supposed gang leader named "Corn Pop" whose respect he earned while lifeguarding at a local pool.
President Joe Biden on Wednesday told an inaccurate story about the death of his grandfather during his first public speech since formally announcing his 2024 reelection bid.
Biden said that his grandfather "died in the same hospital I was born in two weeks before I was born" during a speech at North America's Building Trades Unions Legislative Conference, the New York Post reported.
The president was born in November, 1942, at a Scranton, Penn., hospital. Biden's maternal grandfather, Ambrose Joseph Finnegan, died at St. Mary's Hospital, the same facility where the president was born, but in 1957, his obituary indicates.
His paternal grandfather, Joseph H. Biden, meanwhile, died in 1941 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, more than a year prior to Biden's birth, according to his obituary.
Biden has long embellished or outright misstated his family history and even his own life experience. He has previously indicated that he was "sort of raised in the Puerto Rican community at home, politically" and told an unsubstantiated story about awarding his uncle a Purple Heart for his actions during World War II's Battle of the Bulge.

Over and over Geriatric Joe has gotten his own family history wrong. And this is who the left thinks is "doing a good job" as POTUS.
He didn't get anything wrong. He is a non stop habitual liar that will about everything to suit his own ends. He will morph any part of his history or lineage to try and make himself look better to whomever he is speaking to.
The left loves to complain about Trump's lies; but Brandon is the king of all liars- and the left ignores it.
The obituary must have had it wrong. It couldn't be our leader.
Besides: Joe barely knew his grandfather. He was raised by Puerto Ricans.
I forgot about that. Obviously Joe did too.
I suppose another glass ceiling has been broken.
I was going to give him the benefit of doubt, thinking maybe his grandfather died two weeks before Joe's birthday and said when he was born as referring to his birthday, but the two week thing got blown out of the water when Joe was born on Nov. 20th. and his grandfather died May 27th.
As the cackling goes on here, the rest of the world is yawning.
The rest of the world being what? A bunch of lefties sitting in front of a computer screen?
One would have to be pretty stupid to think the rest of the world isn't laughing at him.
No, it's just the supporters/enablers of the former 'president' who do that!
The rest of the world is laughing at the former 'president' and his supporters/enablers.
Not the topic. ONLY warning.
Where is your outrage?
Brandon is the King of all Liars.
Seem to remember your moral outrage at Trump's lies.
Lying is okay. Scripted questions from the "independent press" is okay. As long as he agrees to mouth the platitudes of the day on social issues, Biden can shoot someone in the middle of 5th Ave and they won't care.

We both know the outrage is selective.
It's really an incredible thing this country has managed to function for two plus years without an actual President. Our purported President is a senile old man who couldn't run a Dairy Queen and can't even do his daily hour or two of work without embarrassing himself if a microphone is present. He can't even function as a figurehead simply acting the Presidential part in public because of his cognitive problems/habitual lying.
Uncle Joe, he's a moving kinda slow at the Shady Rest
How many foreign policy details does he mix up? Does he think Russia is really France? Does he even know we withdrew from Afghanistan? Or does he think that was Vietnam? Is he more concerned about North Korea or Tahiti as a nuclear power?
My morning eggs are less scrambled than this guy’s brain.
