The Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C. has confirmed to Congress that it had plainclothes officers at the Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot and that at least one was captured on video exhorting the crowd, a key House investigator told Just the News.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., the chairman of the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight, said in wide-ranging interview Wednesday night that MPD body cam video that leaked onto the video platform Rumble is authentic and confirms that officers in plainclothes were at the riot.

You can view that video here:  https://rumble.com/v2en5uk-january-6-care-package.html

"We know that it is one of their officers and at one point he is encouraging, and it appears he's encouraging, he's definitely helping people climb the scaffolding, and he's telling them go, go, go," Loudermilk told the Just the News, No Noise television show.

"Why is an officer encouraging people to climb the scaffolding and go into the Capitol? And secondly, why did the MPD Metropolitan Police support department decide to put undercover officers in the crowd? Was there intelligence that they had that was or was not passed on to the Capitol Police and what did the Capitol police do with that evidence, if they got it?" he added.

On May 16, Loudermilk wrote a letter to the MPD police chief requesting additional information about the officers that were present including the original body cam footage from all officers that were on-site at the Capitol that day and "all officer and department after action reports and after incident reports concerning the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021."

He also requested "a list identifying all MPD officers on duty on January 6, 2021, who were engaged in activities concerning the restoration of civil order at or concerning the U.S. Capitol Complex, including their unit and any information on their assignment, and whether they were in uniform or plain clothes in their role as a law enforcement officer on January 6, 2021."

According to committee staff, the MPD is cooperating with Loudermilk's requests but additional details about the presence of the officers is not yet available for public disclosure.

Just the News reported in late March that federal prosecutors divulged in the case of one Jan. 6 defendant, William Pope, that there is police body-cam footage they don't want to make public that showsD.C. Metropolitan Police officers — some in plain clothes — consorting with the protesters and even exhorting "Go! Go! Go!" as the protesters are trying to penetrate the Capitol.

In a brief filed late by the U.S. Attorney's office in Washington, D.C., prosecutors wrote: "The specific footage, GoPro video recorded by an MPD Police Officer who was stationed at the Capitol in an evidence-gathering capacity, captures the officer shouting words to the effect of 'Go! Go! Go!' (MPD-005-000035 at time stamp 2:37), 'Go! Go! Go!' (MPD-005-000035 at time stamp 7:23), and 'Keeping going! Keep going!' (MPD-005-000035 at time stamp 8:16) apparently to the individuals in front of him on the balustrade of the U.S. Capitol's northwest staircase around 2:15 p.m.

"At other times in these videos, the officer and the two other plain clothes officers with him appear to join the crowd around them in various chants, to include 'drain the swamp,' 'U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!', and 'Whose house? Our house!'"

You can read that court filing here:

File gov.uscourts:  https://justthenews.com/sites/default/files/2023-03/gov.uscourts.dcd_.228004.90.0.pdf

Pope's defense team has asked for permission to make the video footage public, but federal prosecutors told the court they want the trial judge's protective order to remain in place to keep the video from becoming public.

"To do so would be like using a hammer when only a scalpel is needed," the government argued in opposing the release of the tapes, adding they believed Pope's "desire to try his case in the media rather than in a court of law is illegitimate."

Loudermilk said he also was deeply concerned by video footage aired Monday by Just the News showing a door on the Upper West Terrace of the Capitol was unlocked and left open for a lengthy period of time, allowing 309 people to enter the Capitol on Jan. 6 mostly uncontested.

"This is something that the Jan. 6 select committee chose not to look at: a security breach. And that's something we started looking at and it raised a lot of questions with us," Loudermilk said. "So through interviews and doing a lot of research, at least we have found out that there's an issue with those doors.

"You hit one of those doors, that alarm goes off, all right, and it unlocks that door because it's a fire door. The only way that that door can be secured is someone has to go to an office within the Capitol, get the key for that particular door and go back and then secure that door," he said.

Gee, I wonder why the Democrats didn't show this video footage.

"But Trruuummmmppppp!!!!!!"

Got it out of the way for all of the leftists on this website so they don't have to bring him up.

Pelosi conveniently having her daughter and a film crew on hand to record her at this momentous event. Plain clothes police officers assisting and urging people to enter the Capitol. Videos of unidentified people egging on/inciting the crowd to storm the capitol; but no charges ever filed by the DOJ.

Hopefully one day the complete story will come out about much the government knew; and how much it influenced Jan 6th. It is already too late for the rioters that have been charged- as many have already served their sentences and others have taken plea deals.

We can't leave out Pelosi and her TDS team altering "evidence".

Lets say, for the sake of being pro insurrection , that there was one, or five cops in the crowd "urging " them on.

So the fuck what? Did they urge the reluctant traitors along at gunpoint? Were these few cops (if there were even any) the only people urging the rioters on, or were they urging each other on? The utter silliness of pretending the cops caused the insurrection is staggering.

As far as Pelosi's daughter goes, she is a documentary film maker. She didnt need her mother to tell her something was going to happen at the capitol that day, it was widely known that Trump had called for a march on the capitol and there were many people there with cameras. The Daily Show was there for gods sake. The New York Times was there. Other documentarians were there.

So her mother brought inside to her office. So fucking what?

Ashley Babbit was trying to violently enter a locked and barricaded door about 25 feet from the entrance to the House of Representatives chamber. Who tries to bash their way through a locked and barricaded door? A peaceful "protester".

I wish she had not done what she did but the shooting was totally justified.

Do you know that there are laws against incitement?

The First Amendment does not protect speech that incites imminent violence or lawlessness.
Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444, 447 (1969).
It is a felony under federal law to intentionally “solicit, command, induce, or otherwise endeavor to
persuade” another person to engage in a crime of violence against a person or property. 18 U.S.C.
§ 373. Many states have similar laws.

There are also laws against entrapment.

Entrapment is a complete defense to a criminal charge, on the theory that "Government agents may not originate a criminal design, implant in an innocent person's mind the disposition to commit a criminal act, and then induce commission of the crime so that the Government may prosecute." Jacobson v. United States , 503 U.S. 540, 548 (1992). A valid entrapment defense has two related elements: (1) government inducement of the crime, and (2) the defendant's lack of predisposition to engage in the criminal conduct. Mathews v. United States , 485 U.S. 58, 63 (1988). Of the two elements, predisposition is by far the more important.

Grabbing a blowhorn and inciting to riot; and assisting/urging on rioters to get inside the Capitol building is definitely entrapment.

We know Democrats love their criminals. Even those it seems that wear the blue.

You need to be shown yet again that the Congress critters were long damn gone?

There was a fully armed riot squad coming down to clear the hallway; which is the reason the 3 security officers in front of the doors were removed.

Barney Fife had his gun drawn for the entire time. He was going to kill someone no matter what. Too bad he didn't forget it in a bathroom somewhere- like before.

A U.S. Capitol Police lieutenant left his service weapon in a bathroom Monday night and the unattended gun was discovered later by another Capitol Police officer.

After the House adjourned on Monday, Lt. Mike Byrd left his Glock 22 in a bathroom in the Capitol Visitor Center complex, according to sources familiar with the incident. Byrd is the commander of the House Chambers section of the Capitol Police and was on the job Tuesday and Wednesday.

Byrd addressed the incident at Tuesday morning’s officer roll call and, according to sources, told fellow officers that he “will be treated differently” because of his rank as a lieutenant. It was not clear what exactly the lieutenant meant by the comment.

Unlike a gun with a traditional safety, a Glock will fire if the trigger is pulled — making the discovery of an unattended gun in the Capitol complex particularly concerning.

Fortunately for Barney the riot squad was far better trained and didn't kill him for pointing his gun at them.

Democrats do love their criminals. Even ones in uniform.

Do you apply that logic to the same people who burned businesses and federal buildings during the riots over a drug user overdosing.

And as for your premeditated organized insurrection BS.

Yet again the FBI report stating that there was no coordinated "insurrection".

The FBI has found little evidence at this point to suggest that the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol was largely coordinated by supporters of former President Trump or right-wing groups, according to a Reuters report .

“Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases,” a former senior law enforcement official told Reuters. “Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages.”

The wire service, which spoke with four current and former law enforcement officials, reported that investigators for the FBI noted that those involved in the far-right groups such as the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers were intent on entering the Capitol.

However, the officials who spoke with Reuters said that no coordinated plans appeared to be established regarding what they would do once they broke in.

The wire service also reported that the FBI has found no evidence at this point proving that Trump or those close to him were involved in any coordination of the insurrection on the Capitol.

If Jan 6th was an insurrection. Then so was every instance of Antifa/BLM threatening/harassing/intimidating politicians- some of them were even Democrats. Or when they took over a couple of blocks in Seattle.

Democrats do love their criminals; unless they voted for Trump or have an R behind their name.

The traitors came to Washington at Trump's bidding in order prevent the electoral count in Congress that day. They were going to do whatever they could. An insurrection doesnt require an A,B,C,D plan.

It’s nice that Loudermilk has taken some time out from his busy tour guide schedule to comment on the events of Jan. 6.

Lol.  You think documentary filming of the final POTUS vote count is no different than a member of Congress giving a private tour of areas of the Capitol that visitors don’t normally get to see, during a pandemic where all other visitor tours were cancelled, on the night before a planned attack on the Capitol - are the same thing?!  You have clearly lost your mind.

Her daughter must be even more evil.  Imagine spending your whole life filming documentaries as a long con, just so you could plausibly get your cameras into the Capitol on Jan. 6.
