At the Naval Hospital in Beaufort SC, there are very old pictures of sailors and soldiers in uniforms or in hospital clothes from the Civil War along the walls of the ground floor.
One group photo has an inscription about being the 6 orderlies from one ward.
But there are at least 8, possibly 9 people in the picture.
The most disturbing is the fading guy on the left whose legs and one arm are missing - he is simply hovering at the side of the group.
Another in the back line is similarly faded and missing an arm
Another extra head ? or double exposure in the back line?
Many opine that they are spirits of the dead.
Who knows?
My grandmother had an old picture that she swore had her late father appearing behind her seated mother. The man standing behind my seated great grandmother was wispy looking. My mother said she couldn't make out anyone standing there at all (I think she could, but was afraid to say so). I am not sure what happened to that picture.
Last night my girlfriend rushed me out of the house to catch the opening act at a local bar's music night. After a few drinks I realized my phone wasn't in my pocket. I checked the table we were sitting at, the bar, the bathrooms, and after no luck I used my friend's phone to call mine. After two rings someone answered, gave out a low raspy giggle, and hung up. They didn't answer again. I eventually gave it up as a lost cause and headed home. I found my phone laying on my night stand, right where I left it.
oh, how freaky....
Maybe it was Alexa, lol.
True story, a friend of mine was home with her boyfriend one night when her Alexa started giggling for no reason.
I remember reports of that happening often enough. It freaked a lot of people out.
I knew there was a reason I didn't want one in the house. That would totally freak me out.
Amazon fixed that and mostly fixed the issue with having it triggered by something on a television. I have a couple of the Alexa speakers in the house. I don't have any issues except when I ask a question and get no answer back. I can turn on/off lights and music as well as have it call my phone when I can't remember where I put it.
Good to know.
Yeah, no thanks.
My Mother whispers when she's on that floor...
now Alexa whispers too, lol.
I don't know why I looked up, but when I did I saw him there. He stood against my window. His forehead rested against the glass, and his eyes were still and light and he smiled a lipstick-red, cartoonish grin. And he just stood there in the window. My girlfriend was upstairs sleeping, my son was in his bed napping too and I couldn't move. I froze and watched him looking past me through the glass. Oh, please no. His smile never moved but he put a hand up and slid it down the glass, watching me. With matted hair and yellow skin and face through the window. I couldn't do anything. I just stayed there, frozen, feet still in the bushes I was pruning, looking into my home. He stood against my window...
Creepy - good one.
A woman waits for her boyfriend to return from fighting in WWII at the old Greyhound Bus Depot on First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. When she’s informed that he perished in combat and won’t be arriving, she hangs herself in the bathroom. To this day, patrons using the ladies’ room at what is now First Avenue attest to encountering a spectral woman wearing a green jacket.
That is so sad.
