The regime and blue city mayors and blue state governors are trying to force vaccine passports and mandates upon us as well as mask mandates.  Some are even considering a return to lock downs Australian style.  If the federal government tries to do national mandates we the people will revolt and force it to live within constitutional limits or go Orwellian on us in order to impose said dystopian rules.  The congressman is right!

Americans will "revolt" if the Biden administration issues new mask mandates because of the spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19, Rep. Ralph Norman, who was slapped with a $500 fine for refusing to wear a mask on the House floor, said on Newsmax Monday.

"I don't think they're going to take it well," the South Carolina Republican said on Newsmax's "Wake Up America." "I don't think they're going to take it well I think you can see massive revolts against doing this, particularly with this administration and being so hypocritical in other areas. I think they'll revolt against it."

Norman's comments came after Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN Sunday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are weighing revising COVID-19 guidelines and recommending that everyone, even fully vaccinated people, wear masks when in public

Norman said he wants to know, instead, why the administration hasn't established a commission to determine the origins of the virus.

"It stuns me that no one is more curious about finding out where this actually came from so we can make sure it doesn't happen again," he said.

The lawmaker also said he's hearing that the administration will "probably try" enforcing vaccination mandates.

"You know, we've got freedom in this country to choose whether we get vaccinated or not," said Norman. "I got vaccinated. But the same thing on the mask. Most of the doctors I talked with say masks do no good. This is another scare tactic that I think this administration is using."

He also called it "hypocritical" that people can come across the U.S.-Mexico border who have not had a vaccine, and that immigrants are being put "all over this country."

If the administration is serious about a vaccine mandate, "they would use that as a real reason to mandate vaccines for these people, but they're not doing it," said Norman.

Meanwhile, Norman and fellow GOP Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia have lost an appeal about the fine, and he said Monday that they will continue with their lawsuit over the fine.

Norman also discussed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's appointment of Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., to the select committee investigating the Jan. 6 incidents at the Capitol, accusing her of "picking people who have been known to have a dislike for (former President) Donald Trump.

"She wants to keep all the focus on Donald Trump for the midterms, and that's what will happen instead of solving the problems in this country," said Norman. "Look at the crisis on the border. Look at inflation. Look at what people are paying at the gas pump all and you know so many things that she ought to be doing and informing commissions on, but she is a dictator...this is a dog and pony show it'll be extended past December. Into the midterms and the only thing that matters to this administration is power, and that's what they're trying to maintain."

A GOP lawmaker from South Carolina said Monday he believes Americans will “revolt” if they are told to wear masks again as the Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus spreads.

In an interview with Newsmax TV, Rep. Ralph Norman said he doesn’t believe many Americans will take new mask mandates “well.”

“I don’t think they’re going to take it well,” Norman, who was fined $500 by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., for not wearing a mask on the House floor, told the network’s morning show.

“I don’t think they’re going to take it well I think you can see massive revolts against doing this, particularly with this administration and being so hypocritical in other areas,” he added.

“I think they’ll revolt against it.”

Norman made his predictive comments after the country’s lead immunologist and top Biden administration health adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Sunday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are considering revising current guidelines to recommend that even fully vaccinated people wear a mask in public again.

Instead, Norman says, he wants to know why the Biden administration has yet to set up a panel to find out the true origins of the virus.

“It stuns me that no one is more curious about finding out where this actually came from so we can make sure it doesn’t happen again,” he said.

He went on to say that he has been hearing scuttlebutt that the administration will “probably try” to enforce a vaccine mandate for Americans.

“You know, we’ve got freedom in this country to choose whether we get vaccinated or not,” said Norman.

“I got vaccinated. But the same thing on the mask. Most of the doctors I talked with say masks do no good,” he added.

“This is another scare tactic that I think this administration is using,” he went on, saying he believes it’s “hypocritical” that migrants can stream illegally into the U.S. without concern from the Biden administration over mask-wearing or even if they are carrying the virus.

He said if the White House is serious about a vaccine mandate, “they would use that as a real reason to mandate vaccines for these people, but they’re not doing it.”

Norman, along with Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Majorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) have all lost appeals to have their mask fines rescinded.

The South Carolina Republican went on to slam House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s 1/6 Committee for picking only Republicans to serve on it who are known opponents of former President Donald Trump.

“She wants to keep all the focus on Donald Trump for the midterms, and that’s what will happen instead of solving the problems in this country,” he said.

“Look at the crisis on the border. Look at inflation. Look at what people are paying at the gas pump all and you know so many things that she ought to be doing and informing commissions on, but she is a dictator,” he continued.

Calling it “a dog and pony show” that will “be extended past December,” Norman said that Pelosi’s panel will be politicized from the outset.

“Into the midterms and the only thing that matters to this administration is power, and that’s what they’re trying to maintain,”…

I do wish that everybody who is able to would get vaccinated.  But if a mandate for everybody including the vaccinated is set to again wear a mask, to aid in reducing the spread and helping to protect people, doesn't that remove some of the impetus for the unvaccinated to actually go get the vaccine?  The vaccines have been around for several months now and how many millions have been safely vaccinated with few side effects. So it's not like this is something coming out of a black box, the unvaccinated have made a conscious choice to not get a vaccine shot.  If they made the choice not to get the shot shouldn't they also have to deal with the consequences?  The rate of breakthrough infections is still very very low so the risk is not as large as some in the business of passing along fear (aka, mainstream media)  would want us to believe.

Everything you say is true. They have been all to quit to go to mandates. The 2022 election is hanging over them, but I wouldn't be surprised if some states require everyone to wear masks. They will blame the usual suspects, but it's getting old. I'd love to know how many people are sorry they voted for all of this.

If masks are sufficient to avoid getting the disease, why vaccinate?

Do you really think someone has said that? If so, please cite to that quote. You should know very well it’s not true. Masks help. No one ever said they were 100%.

Mask mandates are a virtual admission that the vaccine is worthless.

No it isn’t. You know better.

Like the masks, vaccines are also not 100%. And again: No one ever said they were.

But only a complete fool thinks it’s either 100% or 0%.

I don’t believe they are worthless but mask mandates are no way to sell the vaccine to the undecided.

First of all, that would not be the point of a new mask mandate. It’s not about selling people on anything. The mask mandate is becoming necessary because not enough people have gotten vaccinated and so new cases are spreading fast as a result. We can’t just look at a person and see if they have been vaccinated, but we can just look at a person and see if they are wearing a mask.

The mask mandate is also less invasive than a vaccine mandate would be.

Or should we do nothing and just let the virus have its way?

You’d think that if vaccinations would be mandatory anywhere, it would be on 3rd world citizens of other countries who aren’t citizens here coming across our border to protect the rest of us.  But noooo!  That would limit how fast he could let them in.  Also the regime is not ready for the covid crisis to end yet.  Too much big government to cram down people’s throats using that as an excuse to do it.  The Trump vaccine was an inconvenience regarding that.  It was no accident that Biden directed the initial early wave of illegals to states and counties that were the first to lift re opening and mask restrictions in the hope of keeping the disease alive in red areas.

What has biden done to stop the last 220,000 of them since he took office.  If he truly wanted a solution he would have solicited former President Trump to make pro vaccine PSA’s an run them non stop on conservative news and social media.  He would have dropped restrictions on existing drugs that might impact on the disease.  He would have renounced his and the VP’s prior comments questioning the legitimacy of the vaccine before the election.

So how is an unvaccinated person wearing a mask going to protect me a vaccinated person from getting the disease?

Think about a thing they call “viral load.” An individual viral particle won’t get you sick. You need a certain amount of them - the viral load. They measure it in number of particles per milliliter of blood, generally.

What’s the viral load required to make you sick with Covid? I don’t know. It doesn’t matter for our discussion. But let’s say it’s 1 million/ml.

So, let’s say I’m infected and not wearing a mask and I cough or sneeze around you. In that moment, I might release millions of tiny viral particles into the air. You breathe in a few million and get sick.

Now let’s say I have a mask on and that mask only let’s a hundred little particles into the air. That’s not perfect, but it’s enough to keep you from getting sick.

But let’s say you’re vaccinated. We already know the vaccine is like 95% effective at preventing infection. That’s not 100%, so you’re still vulnerable - way less vulnerable than if you weren’t vaccinated, but still vulnerable.

That’s how an unvaccinated person wearing a mask can protect you.

And even if neither person in this scenario gets sick, they can pass the disease on to someone else who might die from it or suffer permanent damage to their lungs or other organs. And while that is happening, the virus has another chance to mutate into something more deadly or more contagious - or both.
