Franklin Graham Issues Call to Prayer for Afghanistan: We Need ‘a Miracle from the Hand of God’

It’s all in Gods hands now.  A man made disaster needing divine intervention.  Now is a good time for us to pray for all Americans still stuck in Afghanistan as well as for the Afghans who we should get out as well as for all the women and girls of that country.  Also let’s pray for the French and UK soldiers taking great risks to get people out of there.  Those religious gatherings today and tomorrow will hopefully have a big positive impact on the dire situation in Afghanistan that our President put everyone in.

Franklin Graham Issues Call to Prayer for Afghanistan: We Need ‘a Miracle from the Hand of God’

Tré Goins-Phillips August 20, 2021

The Rev. Franklin Graham issued a call to prayer Sunday for the people of Afghanistan and Americans trying to flee the country, which has fallen into the control of the Taliban in the wake of the U.S. military exit.

Reports from journalists on the ground have indicated Americans are struggling to access the Kabul International Airport in order to evacuate the Middle Eastern country. Additionally, residents fearful of a Taliban-controlled Afghanistan are trying to escape the ravaged country.

President Joe Biden has said any American who wants to leave Afghanistan will be able to do so, claiming the evacuation will be complete by Aug. 31. That suggestion, though, doesn’t square with what’s happening in Kabul.

“There is no hope for these people to get out safely — apart from a miracle from the hand of God — and that’s what we need to pray for,” he said in press release issued Friday afternoon, noting Samaritan’s Purse is partnering with groups in Afghanistan to get people out of the country.

Graham’s youngest son, Edward, who served in six combat deployments with special operations forces in Afghanistan, said it “hurts” to see what’s currently unfolding in the country.

“I spent years there and lost many friends,” he added. “There are many Afghan people that I love. This is a manmade disaster and there isn’t a person or an organization that can fix this. Only God can deliver us from this crisis.”

NPR: Are you saying any American can get to the airport, past the security barrier, and to where they need to go? BIDEN: To the best of our knowledge, the Taliban are letting through people with American passports. The guy is literally entrusting American lives TO THE TALIBAN.

It can only help.  It’s a man made mess for sure but God has already helped in getting some of the vulnerable out of there.  They had a prayer at the Trump rally in Alabama this evening.

Or do nothing.

Really? Those were JESUS 747s taking people out of there? Why didn't he just teleport them? Or magic ALL of them out of the country? Why is he such a lazy bitch?

They had a prayer at the Trump rally in Alabama this evening.

And how many heads is that prayer going to keep on shoulders?

Hey, Thrawn. You don't think prayer will help then don't pray. Why do you feel you have to demean those who do?

I know it won't. I get after people who offer prayer as a solution because it is a feel good measure. Give to charity, fucking volunteer, ffs do anything but pray. Prayer is worthless.

What's wrong with giving to charity, volunteering and praying?

Prayer is worthless.

By all means, hold that view if you wish. You don't get to make that determination for the rest of us. Sorry.

Nothing is wrong with the former suggestions, hence why I made them.

And yeah, SO many people have had their problems solved via prayer. If all you are gonna do is pray then just shut the fuck up.

Unfortunately for those that believe in God, he is stuck with Joe Biden to try and work with. Not even the most benevolent, kind, understanding God could ever do anything with Joe Biden.

I am an atheist and don't mean to demean those that believe in God; but we are stuck with a worthless POS for PotUS- so even if there was a god their prayers would go unanswered.

Graham Calls Day Of Prayer Sunday For Those Trapped In Afghanistan

Thousands of people are desperately trying to escape from Afghanistan after the country’s fall to the Taliban.

These Islamic extremists, who have now taken Afghanistan back by force, have a history of brutality.

Time is short and the need is urgent, and that is why I am calling for a day of prayer this Sunday, August 22 .

With the Taliban blocking access to the airport and all exit routes, this is a life-or-death situation for Christians and other religious minorities, and all those who worked with or for America over the past two decades. There is no hope for these people to get out safely—apart from a miracle from the hand of God—and that’s what we need to pray for.

It is a difficult and tragic situation. Will you please join me in praying for God to intervene in a mighty way?  -

The first picture is super gay. Way to make it about some rich cocksucker living in a mansion and HIS "pain", AKA need for political points, before you decide that those who face real peril are worth mentioning.

Samaritan’s Purse is currently partnering with other groups that are working diligently to help people get out of the country.

“To watch this hurts,” said Edward Graham, Franklin Graham’s youngest son who works with Samaritan’s Purse and served in six combat deployments within special operations forces in Afghanistan. “I spent years there and lost many friends. Dude, gay porn is not appropriate for the topic. If we were talking about priests, the ministry, or religion generally sure, gay porn is central, but this? Nah man, nah.

I was part of a Graham tour of California when he came to my home town and close to 20k showed up.  It was a great rally and Jeremy Camp (I still believe) sang and the sermon was right on.  The Carr fire devastated some of our area and their ministry came back and were so supportive of our community.  They will always have a positive in our hearts here.
