Makes me think of the story of the country mouse that visited his cousin the city mouse - I think it preferred the country. My decision is now made. Although I would prefer the country, and ideally being beside the ocean, a lake, a river - out of necessity (health care due to my age, no longer driving, easy walking distance to facilities, transportation and wooded campuses) I'm ensconced in the city.
Been to both myself. Disney was more fun back when they had Ticket Books. Not many folks there then. They never had enough of the good "D" and "E" tickets in the book though.
I've never been to Disney World, but, have been to Disneyland many times over the years with my own Children and Grandchildren. Much too noisy, busy and crowded for me, but, the kids enjoyed it.
So for me I would choose the woods, and perhaps fishing from the edge of a quite lake, listening to all the sounds of the life that surrounds me, and being one with the Creator.
Exactly! Philadelphia and part of its neighboring county (Montgomery) includes a significant amount of parkland kept in a protected status; among other populations is the largest, "urban/suburban" population of white-tailed deer.
Pennypack Park is a municipal park, part of the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation system, in Northeast Philadelphia in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Established in 1905 by ordinance of the City of Philadelphia, it includes about 1,600 acres of woodlands, meadows and wetlands.
I believe my "tongue-in-cheek" headline precipitated my anticipated responses; "The Happiest Place on Earth" is a Disney concoction …
"Magic Kingdom" was often used as an unofficial nickname for Disneyland before Walt Disney World was built. The official tagline for Disneyland is "The Happiest Place On Earth", while the tagline for Magic Kingdom is "The Most Magical Place On Earth".
Walt Disney World is, for my family, a number of years of happy memories having watched our grandchildren enjoy the various parks as they grew older. It is especially "magical" and "a happy place" as we plan another trip there in August preceding my wife's bone marrow transplant scheduled for September. Naturally, we hope other trips will follow.
"Happiness" is personal and individual … and, IMO, a deciduous forest is where one can find peace and the "magic" that arises from under the canopy of treetops … a most magical happiness.
Not really sure what I was looking for, I just wanted to play around a bit and see what I came up with. The broken border gives it a much different aspect a well I think.
Decisions, decisions …
Both are beautiful, Mac. Nicely done!

This is Carmella. She wishes that she was at the Happiest Place on Earth, which she would be if she was adopted.
A sweetheart.
Let us hope she finds her "happy place" soon.
If you need Fantasy ….. Do Disney
If you want Reality …. do the woods !
I like the Woods ! It's quieter !
Been to both, and agree with you.

I found my happy place last Sunday.
Beautiful birds. Are those are Falcons?
Thank you. I think that is a sharp shinned hawk.
Thanks for the info EG. They sure are majestic.

Guy says to his partner, hey did you remember to bring the fishing poles...Answer, I'm a bear dumb ass.
From my collection, Leroy Neiman, ''Harbor at Monte Carlo''....
Neimans ''Casino at Monte Carlo''
Truly great paintings. Thank you for sharing them Kavika.
Here is my creation for this week...I hope you enjoy it.
Very cool RW.
A strong, spiritual, unique image … proud to have such work posted in our group!
Thank you Kavika and Mac. I am glad that you like it. (smile)
Another superb spiritual image.
Thank you Buzz. (smile)
If that is your backyard, no wonder you see all the deer and other critters.

I live approximately where you see the "x" …
Beautiful array of colorful flowers. Nicely done!
I have to go with anything but Main Street. A small clump of flowers in the Jemez mountains just doing their thing.
They look very happy, just doing their thing. Mother Earth likes to dress up things a bit now and then. (smile)

My dad lived in Apopka. It was magical before the forests were paved over and the river we swam in became a state park.
Guess I'm just gettin' maudlin in my old age.
"They paved paradise 'n put up a parking lot" (Big Yellow Taxi - Joni Mitchell)
We seem to have stalled.
Sorry. Here, I'll add something to keep it going.
Very nice … great point of view.
A view from a bridge. Wasn't that a movie?
Here is something I was just fooling around with for change of pace.
The background gives it a 3-dimentional effect.

Sunset, Ocala Florida from my back lanai.
Hope you don't mind if I play a bit with your photo...
No problem Buzz.
Nice job Buzz.
Beautiful sunset. Looks peaceful and quiet. The grounds are lovely as well.
I love your backyard. Frankly, I think that it looks pretty magical to me.
