Happy Thanksgiving everyone, from the other side of the world. Decided to take my camera to the annual expats Thanksgiving dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel tonight, so tomorrow I'll post some photos of it. In the meantime, I'll leave you with a butterfly.
A/noon. Happy Thanksgiving to you all from across the Pacific. Don't have it here but it always looks so spectacular on the TV..Lovely food, family and friends...who can ask for more...enjoy...
Has anyone seen this … it's currently on NETFLIX; I bring it to your attention because it's about a South Philly dude along with some other dudes, some South Philly mob guys (for real although obviously played by some big time actors), others not, but, you'll likely know who they were. We watched it last night and it brought back some memories of my old neighborhood.
I may get to see it in three years (the time required by the movie studios) if I'm still around. The last movie I saw about Philadelphia (was it ACTUALLY Philadelphia?) was with Tom Hanks as a lawyer who had AIDS. However, I have watched previous films about Philadelphia, if in fact they were really filmed in Philadelphia, such as The Young Philadelphians, The Philadelphia Story, Rocky....
Rocky for sure was filmed in Philly as was the Tom Hanks movie … Denzel Washington (Hank's lawyer in the film) … his office in the film, was at the corner of 19th & Chestnut Streets … my office at that time, was about 50 yards east of that, on Chestnut Street.
Sorry about that! We watched it in 2 segments … one before dinner and the second after dinner. I think there are actually a few areas with subtitles where the characters are speaking Italian to one another … don't remember for certain, but, if so, not a whole lot.
Be safe, be healthy … and be kind to one another … and, of course, post your creativity!
Wishing you and yours all the best Mac!
Dear Friend AMac: The very same to you, yours; and all News Talkers.
P&AB.
Enoch.
Very beautiful pictures, Mac. The Butterfly is very creative and magical.
Yet another comment I posted has disappeared. I'll try again....
Is that a Canada goose? Nice "radiating" butterfly.
Yep. I magnified (eyes aren't what they used to be) and it has all the markings. Beautiful work on the background too.
A Canada Goose indeed (Branta canadensis).
Have a Happy, warm and dry Thanksgiving everyone!
I absolutely love that butterfly. Happy Turkey Day Mac and NT's.
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS - Barry Manilow

Actually I posted a photo-essay about my Thanksgiving Dinner on the Front Page Forum.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING from the Bird of Birds -
Oh yeah - forgot -
Semper Fi and have a super fabulous Bird day with your families.
What's with that "eye" thing?
Have asked, but nobody knows
Well, if when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie that's amore, then what looks like an egg hits your eye, I wonder what that would be.
Dear Brother Buzz: Eggceptional?
Great Eggpectations?
Eggshell shock?
Scrambled vision?
Enoch
Eggsactly! Eggestentially & wihout eggsaggerartion
Dear Friend AMac: LOL.
Good ones.
Love 'em.
P&AB.
Enoch.
I scrambled to get them together.
Otherwise, how have you been?
Dear Friend AMac: The open heart surgery had last year seems to have taken.
Just had the annual follow up with my cardiologist prior to Thanksgiving.
All seems good.
I will see him once a year for a check up.
We car pool with some others to six convocations of a bio medical ethics society.
Super Doctor. Great guy.
I still stay active. Just not as much as before the operation.
Trying to pace myself with time remaining.
Hope all goes well for you and yours.
Peace and Abundant Blessings, dear friend.
Enoch.
Bless Us Everyone...
Didn't Tiny Tim say that? (Different holiday)
Happy Thanksgiving to all my NT Family.
LOL. Thanks Raven.
You're welcome Buzz.
Seeing so many friends in this thread makes the holiday extra special; it is so good to see you all!

I should warn you … it's violent but well done.

You should warn us that it is around 3 1/2 hours long.!
(I may have to watch this one by myself. My wife has zero interest in 3 1/2 hour movies unless they have subtitles.)
