Snow is a great unifier of photographic compositions … a potentially, inherent integrating factor even when subjects contain seemingly "disparate" elements!
Any/all creative work or comments welcomed … (the thread is not limited to snow scenes).
Where the rectangle is on the colored Map. It's now Sand. All that sand frontage to the Chatham Light, used to have houses on it. My Grandfather would moor his boat right out front. Striped Bass Fishing was unbelievable back in those days.
I have to find an old picture - I may have posted it on NV. A band was playing at my local bar, and there were huge snowdrifts outside the door. The way the light reflected off the glass door, it looked as though they were playing in a snowbank. If I can find it, I'll post it here.
Having grown up in an area of Ontario that was covered by the Buffalo snow belt, snow was a big part of my life, but I don't think my wife traveled that much from her home town, where we now live in a climate zone that sees no snow, so these photos taken a decade ago when we first lived much farther north, may have been the first time she ever experienced snow. I don't travel much these days either, and certainly not far, so although you may have seen these photos before, I don't think I'll be taking any more snow shots.
Again a comment I wrote disappeared. Trying again...
That picture seems to have a flow, and the frame accentuates it. This is the second mother and infant one you've done recently - is there some significance to that?
The Mother represents Mother Earth, and the child represents the human life that she nurtures and cares for. Mankind depends on her for our own survival. And we must always respect and protect her.
MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark All the sweet, green icing flowing down Someone left the cake out in the rain I don't think that I can take it 'Cause it took so long to bake it And I'll never have that recipe again Oh, no
Haha
Great pics. We don't get snow though. Wait, I think we did a couple of years ago. Didn't last a day.
Well, as I said above, I'm no longer among the "THEM" - there are many palm trees here.
And I'm quite familiar with Florida. I've spent many winter vacations there since I was 16 years old, both coasts, and for some years my brother and I shared ownership of a golf condo in Hallandale, just inland from Hollywood, Fforida.

My Old "Home Town":
I lived a few streets down from Chatham Light..... 43 Andrew Hardings Lane.
It was a sad day, the day my Grandparents house was overwhelmed by the Ocean when North Beach broke during the '87 Nor’easter .
Which Chatham?
Chatham Mass.

I marked the Chatham Light area too.

Beautiful Raven!
Thank you Perrie, I truly appreciate your opinion. (smile)
Dear Sister Raven Wing: Totally agrees with Perrie.
Photo as beautiful as is the message sent.
Very well done indeed.
P&AB.
Enoch.
Dear Brother Enoch,
Thank you so much for your very kind words. I truly appreciate them. (smile)
Let it snow
Yeah, looks like snow wouldn't bother that fur coat with a body inside of it.
You're right on that Buzz. The buffalo has no fear of cold and snow.
He's a handsome dude.
That could be why they named that upstate New York city "Buffalo".
Well done! A truly beautiful Buffalo.
Haha

We did get this one year on a glass table.
Beautiful Ender!
Thank you. Thank you very much.
Just don't notice the one at the top that is a little over weight.
Not overweight just big boned.
You're welcome, Elvis.
The high in Ocala will only be 73 degrees. Defiantly long pants and sweatshirt weather.
LOL..Go ahead - rub it in.

Speaking of brothers, my brother was an only child and my parents moved away before I was born so I never got to meet them.
Having children is hereditary; if your parents never had any, you probably won’t either.
LOL. Isn't Philadelphia the city of Brotherly Love?
And sisterly affection too, Buzz’
