Beautiful photos Mac. The flower at the top is a real beauty. Love the swirling background that the flower seems to be blooming out from. Very surreal. The color of the flower really sets it all off very nicely. Well done!
Both of us here have upper respiratory infections & bronchitis so we haven't been out for new photos. I've been missing my buddy Tucker. Here's a photo from way back in 2014 with a new edit.
Those infections are really nasty, and really sap the strength out of you.
Love the picture of Tucker. He looks very happy playing in the snow. While the mind may come to terms with their being gone at some point, but, the heart never does.

Thanks. Last night I hit official mouth breather status. lol. This morning is horrible, but maybe I get make it to the Y this weekend and sit in the suna and hot tub. Sweat some of this out.

That is no fun. The weather here has been very dry, with very high winds, low humidity and lots of dust blowing around. I am hoarse and have a dry cough that makes my throat sore. But, that goes away as the humidity rises.
Hopefully, your visit to the Y will help you feel better soon.
I remember seeing a lot of those birds along the small canals along the highways on our way to Ft Myers and while we were there. One almost flew into our car while we were driving as it came in for a landing in one of the canals along the main highway. I am sure glad it had a good sense of distance as it barely missed us.
I'm sure it got a good laugh at our response of its near miss. And I am glad I was driving or we would have been in the ditch along with the bird if my Cousin had been driving.
With Spring comes the return of birds that have wintered in warmer climates. Here in So Cal we see a good many birds that are not really native to our area that are on their way North back home in the North and are just taking a short rest from their long return flight. They are always welcome and a beautiful sight to see.
Here is one of my creations that's for the birds. (grin)
I decide which image I want to work with and get it like I want it, then I create the background. Once I have the background like I want it, then I work on the frame. There is a lot of work, trial and error involved, and many times I just start over again until I get it like I want it. I use mostly MS PowerPoint, but, also use CorelDraw for some editing and adjustments that I can't do in PowerPoint.
Putting it all together can take hours, days, or sometimes weeks, depending on the amount of detail I want that will best enhance the primary subject. Colors and blending everything together can really present a challenge.
The Raven is a sacred Totem animal for many Native Americans, Clans and Tribes. Every Native American has a sacred Totem animal that stays with them all their life. They may have different Spirit Guides throughout their life, but, only one sacred Totem animal.
Thank you Ender and Kavika. At first glance I thought they looked like pelicans, but, I didn't see the pouch under their beaks at the angle they were in so thought maybe they were something else.
Being stuck in our home for the past few weeks I don't have anything new to post, but here is a selection from my collection. (selection from my collection - good rhyme).
Really beautiful pictures, Buzz. The one with the two Lotus blossoms is outstanding. Love the color of the blossoms, which is enhanced by the green background and the reflections in the surrounding water. Very nicely done.
What are the clay pots in front of what looks like a cave for?
Thanks, RW. It's not a cave, it's a hollowed out base of a wall. Those pots are all over the beautiful campus of the Sichuan Institute of Art located across the road from where we live, even built into the walls, so I assume they were created as exercises by students studying pottery over the years.
Thanks for the clarification on the pots, Buzz. The crafting of the pots by the students sounds very educational. And those built into the walls would make for a truly decorative addition to the stones.
Thank you Kavika. I think this is one of the creations that I initially shared in the Anishinaabe Group a few years back when I first started to work with this type of graphics. It is the encouragement and support of the Members of that group that has given me the courage to keep moving up a level at a time.
And in doing so, has made me challenge myself each step along the way, and made it so much fun in doing so.
My neighbor had one for a while. We called it the Dragon Duck. We would hang out by the river and it would run up to get food - it was pretty aggressive and stole someone's sub from the table once!
Busy day … will post more pics tonight. But everyone with something creative to share … don't hesitate.
Love the pics. Especially the house finch!

A sad memory, but at least a great action photo of a happy pet.
Sittin' on our lanai this morning watching the birds go by.

Good capture - a reason to always have your camera (smartphone?) with you. Is it an Egret?
Yes, it is Buzz.
Shadow caught an octopus
How cute!! Looks like that octopus is really giving Shadow a real battle.
Armed but not dangerous!
Couldn't open your still photos, but I enjoyed watching Shadow in combat. LOL.
LOL, too damn cute.
I thought the octopus' audible cries for help in the video were full of hope.
What a cutie!

Strikingly effective, RW!
Thanks Mac.
How do you create your art? It's beautiful and unique.
Thank you very much Perrie.

But, there is a lot of fun involved as well.
Resembles a dreamcatcher that catches birds. Whenever I see turquoise, it makes me think of south-western natives.

Are those a type of stork? I don't see a pouch so don't think they are Pelicans. But, I might be wrong.
They are pelicans...I believe.
They are pelicans.

Don't tell some people but I snapped that pic south of the border. Haha
Good shot Ender. Were you on a bridge or something elevated? Telephoto shot?
It was actually by a port. They had some kind of naval vessel docked near by.
Did you take that one on your recent vacation down South?
Yep. The water was really blue. Kinda hard to see in the pic.

I love the stone house built over/alongside the waterfall.
Probably the only house in China I could afford to buy. Basic plumbing - hole in the floor over the river. LOL
Your finest grouping yet, Buzz!
Thanks, A.Mac.
A little something extra for Friday...one of my older ones.
I'm running out of superlatives to describe the fantastic creativity and talent exhibited by you with those works.
Thank you, Buzz. This is back when I was using only wood burls for the backgrounds of the images the images.
Being able to get my feet wet, so to speak, with this starting point of my creations has allowed me to continue to move to higher levels.
I am always happy for your comments and appreciate them very much.
Outstanding RW.

!!!
That gets a WOW RW!
WOW ... great lighting & energy!
Thanks Mac.I was going for a bit of a rustic look.
True sign of Spring. Today's surprise from my girl Lavie and her beau, Bruce; 13 new ducklings made their first trip out side of the nest today.
8 will be black like Dad, 5 will be "different" from the average Barbary Duck...like Mom.
Such adorable little 'quackers'.
Those are Muscovy ducks, I haven't seen them in a while.

Yep, semi domesticated beggars who break all of the "duck rules", sleeping in an alcove up against the storm doors,
coming into the back yard via a long alley with a solid fence and sleeping under a roofed porch; coming into the garage looking for corn.
Found a young male sleeping up on a shelf amongst circular saws in the garage last month. We scared the crap out of each other, him literally, lol.
