The one with the big open field and the people walking on the path looks like a painting instead of a photo. Really beautiful, and great color combinations.
Great photo, Kavika. It looks sort of like a two-fer. Nice warm, sunny beach on one side, and snow covered mountains on the other side.
Sort of like winter here in So Cal....in the morning you can go skiing or snowboarding in the nearby mountains, come home for lunch and a change of clothes, then off to enjoy the sunny, warm beach in the afternoon.
It's raining here today, but here's one from one year ago. I'm so impressed by the color display on my new laptop. The old one had a blue cast to it I couldn't calibrate out.
It's raining here today, and will be for the next 4-5 days. Making up for what we missed in February I guess. And here is my creation for this Thursday...
The Reclining Buddha at the White Horse Temple in Yuoyang, Henan Province, where Buddhism was first introduced to China by two Monks from India riding white horses. The inset photo is of the Buddhist Temple that was constructed there as a gift to China by India.
China's "Mount Rushmore" (my name for it) - the two founders of China. Note the people climbing near the top on the right. It is located in Yellow River Park north of Zhengzhou in Henan Province, in the area known as the Cradle of Chinese Civilization.
I once bought a pair of shoelaces from a woman who had a similar setup. If you can believe it, shoe stores don't sell shoelaces. I guess they expect that if your shoelaces break it's time to buy a new pair of shoes.
I needed shoelaces for my Rockport Walkers, that lace up like basketball shoes. I've worn this pair for about 15 years, most days because they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.
most days because they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.
I have a pair of loafers that I bought 23 years ago. They do show the wear, but, as you say, they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned, so I wear them around the house and places where no one cares what's on my feet.
Spotted a couple of Canadas circling overhead yesterday. Also, when I walked out on the porch the other day, I could hear the Doves calling each other. That's a sure sign of Spring approaching. Of course, I've lived in Michigan all my life and I've never seen Spring come before Winter gets in one last blast at us. Usually harsh but short.
I was headed to the next town to pick up dinner at Subway this evening. As I passed one of the fields, I saw four deer feeding out there; perfect shots for the camera that was sitting on my desk at home. Now that Spring is coming, I think it's time for putting that bad boy in the Jeep whenever I step outside. There will be lots of shots of the grandkids too. All the schools in Michigan are closed until April 5th, when our district starts its Spring Break for a week. Kids running all over the place for the next few weeks. I love it.
We are in for 9 more days of rain here, and that is just as it is predicted as of today. It may be even longer. We do need the rain, and as it is not all heavy rain, and not all at once, it is the kind of rain that can be a help to the drought in the areas that need it most.
This kind of rain usually comes in late January and and February, but, it has now been put off until March. So our Spring will likely have a wet start.
However, I love to sit out in the rain and feel the soft, gentle raindrops on my skin. It's not that cold here, so it is very refreshing and relaxing to just sit and enjoy it for a while.
We have a similar looking area here - it is called the Greenway and it is for walking and biking runs from up near Lake Erie quite a ways down into the state - numerous paces along the way to get on and off
Thanks Buzz....and very true. I could be like some artists I have seen who find something that seems to play well to the masses and they stick with it in all things.
However...I am curious....and need a challenge to keep my creative juices flowing. I like to keep myself reaching for higher levels of artistic capabilities, and dare to think out of the box to surprise not only myself, but, those who view my work.
The feedback and support I get from my NT family encourages me to go that step beyond. It truly is very much appreciated.
When it comes to art, the only constant is change.
Very true, Buzz. There are some developers and programmers at Microsoft that can't believe what I do with PowerPoint. They were blown away and can't believe what I can do with the software with my artwork, which it was not ever meant to be use for.
So I gave them a whole new perspective of how their software features and functions can be used. (big grin)
Thank you TTGA. What I try to do with my creations is to share the traditions, culture, and Spiritual beliefs in the everyday life of the many various Native American Tribes with my NT family.
The front flower bed continues to come to life and in these trying times a welcome diversion from bad news and ugliness that seems to be trying to fill the world. The latest to arrive are the white crocus
Post whatever good creative stuff you've got … and commentary as well.
The one with the big open field and the people walking on the path looks like a painting instead of a photo. Really beautiful, and great color combinations.
It actually is a painting … a digital one …
Thanks for the clarification, Mac. I do a bit of digital artwork, but, nothing of that scale. It's really beautiful.
Spring at Lake Tahoe, April 2012.
Nice shot; I've been completely around Lake Tahoe twice … Nevada and California sides.
Great photo, Kavika. It looks sort of like a two-fer. Nice warm, sunny beach on one side, and snow covered mountains on the other side.

It may look like Spring where you live, but....it snowed here yesterday and the day before. I can't wait for Spring !!!
"Lookin' Like Spring"
I'm NOT READY !
I'm outa "Allergy pills right now !
That's nothin' to sneeze at!
"Green" is a Pretty color.....but "Powder Green" all over the place, just doesn't do it for me.
My car changed colors. It was "Red", but a "MAJOR Sprinkling of Green on top", is soooooo Ugly !
Clear Lake CA. April 2015 looking at Mount Konocti with the halo around it.
Very nice shot. The halo around the mountain looks inspiring.
Every year since I moved here in 2007 this clump of Yellow Daffodils has become my harbinger of Spring.
Whenever I see those yellow blooms I know that everything now dead and brown will be green and alive within 2 to three weeks.
Noticed the blooms earlier this week which means that within the next 10 to 15 days my yard will go from this, (how the yard looks today);
To this;
Very cool Old Hermit.
Great shots, and what a difference! I love me some Daffy-Dils (grin) Their warm, sunny yellow color really lifts the Spirit.
Daffodils always make me smile .
It's raining here today, but here's one from one year ago. I'm so impressed by the color display on my new laptop. The old one had a blue cast to it I couldn't calibrate out.
Looks fine in sepia, but I was referring to the one you that had a blue cast.
Sorry. The monitor screen on the old laptop had a blue cast. It made editing a challenge.
Nice shot, EG. Is that a early morning or sunset shot?
Early morning.
Thanks, EG.
Early morning, were you just coming home?
LOL! I was getting to work and took that shot on my way to the coffee shop down the street.
It's raining here today, and will be for the next 4-5 days. Making up for what we missed in February I guess. And here is my creation for this Thursday...
Nice! It's raining here too.
Thanks EG. We do need the rain here.

I'm glad I had my camera with me when I saw this.
Great photos. The last one is the ''traveling department store''...LOL
Amazing photos, Buzz. The guy on the bike looks like he is a "one stop shopping" store on wheels, and clothing is "one size fits all".
I once bought a pair of shoelaces from a woman who had a similar setup. If you can believe it, shoe stores don't sell shoelaces. I guess they expect that if your shoelaces break it's time to buy a new pair of shoes.
That really is odd, Buzz. Since I don't buy lace-up shoes I never thought of that.

Here's another creation for a rainy day Friday...
An exciting, powerful image!
Thanks, Mac.
I second A.Mac's comment.
Thank you Buzz.
Wow, just wow.
Thank you Kavika. I'm very glad you like it.

Beautiful
Thanks Robert.
Took this yesterday in late afternoon … then manipulated it into a "painting".

Awesome Mac. I love the reflection of the bird on the water. Turning the photo into a painting is truly amazing!.
The appearance of these guys in the front porch bed are clear notice that spring is finally coming to NE Ohio
And the arrival of these two each year on the pond out back also harkens better weather days coming
Great photos, Robert. True signs that Spring is on its way.

I went for a brief walk (it is 35 degrees and windy) this afternoon and got a couple of more pictures to share
A reminder of the winter
And a couple more reminders that spring is rapidly on its way
Looks like Spring is on its way to Ohio. Love the purple flowers.
Crocus near the front porch where I sit in nice weather - it is still cold but slowly turning to better days
I cannot wait

I went for a long walk today. It was 85 degrees and sunny.
One more from yesterday's walk.

Great shot Mac. Would love to see that area in full summer bloom.

Here is a Medicine Woman performing a healing ritual. Something just a little different.
Elegant!
Exactly
Thanks Mac.
Thank you Kavika. Experimenting with the different framing techniques in order to give different perspectives of the images.

You could teach your method - collect tuition fees from students. LOL
Not only beautiful but a level of symbolism relating to what's going on out in the world right now.
