YET ANOTHER DOUBLE-CLUE MOVIE QUIZ

PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS IN A COMMENT, OR YOU WILL RUIN THE QUIZ FOR EVERYONE ELSE.        POST THEM IN A PRIVATE NOTE TO ME, BUZZ OF THE ORIENT, AND I WILL REPLY WITH YOUR SCORE AND THE CORRECT ANSWERS.

Please remember that I am on the other side of the world (of most of you) and I could be asleep when you send your answers, so be patient - I will get to your PN as soon as I can.

Although it's getting harder to find movies I've seen that are not TOO esoteric or too old, since everyone who takes a shot at these thinks they're fun I'll keep on trying to put them together.  Same as previously, the symbols or pictures represent either the title of a movie or an important item or aspect of it or is in some way representative of it.  None of the image clues are actual screen shots from the movie films and I try to use clues that do not make it easy to do a web search.  Some of the questions are about relatively well known movies, but some classics and lesser known ones are included.  A hint:  A few of these questions could be answered just from their first clues.  So give it a try and NAME THESE MOVIES.

Please number your answers the same as the images.

Ok buzz, I am working on it. I knew about three (I think). What takes me so long is it is hard for me to guess.

I am not good with movie titles.

Now give me an obscure musical lyrics track and they all pop in my head.

So some of my guesses might not even be a movie.  Haha

So far 6 members have submitted their answers, and the best score has been 14 and the lowest is 7.  The only question that has not been answered by at least one participant is number 5 which is a 2008 movie in which the main protagonist is a well-known actor.

Yes, yes. I take a bow for the seven.

Told you I am not very good at it.

Did better than I thought I did though.

Borrowing a line from the movies as I often do, I will repeat what The Accountant said to his brother Braxton who had said "I'm a little dangerous myself", The Acountant replied "You've improved."

"The time has come, the walrus said, to speak of many things
Of sails and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings."
But mostly post the answers here and name the winners of this quiz.
A new one will be posted now to test your skill of movie biz.

The Answers:

  1.   A Little Chaos  -  The Palace at Versailles and a rock garden
  2.   Zoo  -   The sign said it, even with an elephant, and it was in Ireland, symbolized by a clover leaf.
  3.   Bruce Almighty  -  Jim Carey was a broadcaster on TV Channel 7, Buffalo, and he met God who was being a janitor mopping the floor.
  4.   The Pelican Brief  -  A pelican and a briefcase.
  5.   Taken  -  2 young girls from L.A. arrive in Paris - Liam Neeson identifies a kidnapper's voice speaking the words "Good luck" that he recorded the culprit saying.
  6.   First Target  -  An attempt to assassinate the POTUS while he is in a cable car.
  7.   Guns of Navarone  -  Two large cannons and the hat of a WW2 German officer.
  8.   Around The World In 80 Days  -  An arrow circling the world and count the days on the calendars - 80 total
  9.   Remember The Titans  -  A Titan and a foolball
  10.  A Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy  -  a hitchhiker and a galaxy
  11.  Evita  -  Argentina and people crying when she died (notwithstanding the song "Don't Cry For Me Argentina")
  12.  Red Eye  -  A red eye (did you need more?) and a hotel guest comment card.  At the end of the movie the couple who complained about everything were told to fill in a comment card and shove it up their ass, and if you saw the movie you would not forget that.
  13.   Gran Torino  -  a dark green Ford Gran Torina identical to the one in the movie (you should not have needed the other clue) - a white dog like the one Walt Kowalsky (Clint Eastwood) owned.
  14.  Sully  -  Jet airliner flying into a flock of birds, and the Hudson River.
  15.  East of Eden  -  the first film James Dean starred in - the Garden of Eden and a compass pointing east.
  16.  Bend It Like Beckham  -  a movie about a girl who wanted to play soccer.  A man bending a pencil, and a soccer ball about to be kicked.
  17.  The 10 Commandments  -  Painting the doorposts with lambs' blood so the Angel of Death would pass over (Passover) and Moses at the burning bush, receiving the 10 Commandments
  18.  Double Indemnity  -  A life insurance policy and a person dictating (his confession) into a dictating machine.
  19.  Being There  -  A gardener and a TV remote control
  20.  Dead Poets' Society  -  a book of very old poetry and students standing on their desks.  "Oh Captain, my Captain".
