Reacher - Official Trailer | Prime Video
One of you still needs to drive to the hospital.
Based on the character from the book series by Lee Childs, Jack Reacher is an ex-Army Police Major who goes from place to place investigating dangerous situations. There were two previous movies staring Tom Cruse as Reacher, but next week on Amazon Prime, 6' 2" Alan Ritchson takes the part. There will be 8 episodes in this first season starting on February 4th.
Ladies try not to drool when you watch the trailer below... LOL!
I don't think I've read any of the books, though I probably would like them. I'm told this new guy looks much closer to the book descriptions than the old guy.
In the books Jack Reacher is described as being "a 250-pound blond man standing at 6ft 5in tall, with hands the size of dinner plates or Thanksgiving turkeys, and knuckles like walnuts". Definitely not what you'd use to describe the dark haired 145lb 5'7" Tom Cruise...
I saw both of Tom Cruise Reacher movies. They were alright. It did somewhat seem like he was just killing time between Mission Impossible movies though. l
The character in the book is more like the Rock. In fact Duane is the perfect size for Reacher.
Alan is much more believable.
Tom Cruise/Reacher will be forgotten overnight.
and whoever does the directing won't have to play with the angles to make Tiny Tom appear larger than he is.
I believe I have all the books, somewhere, unpacked, lol.
Cruise wasn't the person to play Reacher.
I would go with ''The Rock'' a personal favorite and a uso.
Rock says actors in Hollywood are in a box. Every movie he's starred in was made for him.
He wanted to be Reacher but the producers wanted a box office actor & name like Tom Bruise.
Good thing for Fast & Furious and Luke Hobbs.
It would be like that move Faster that Johnson stared in back in 2010.
I binged the series on Friday and Saturday this last weekend. It was fantastic! The acting was outstanding and plot was engaging. It has action, humor and heart. The first season was based on the Lee Child's first Reacher book The Killing Floor. Lee Child is an executive producer on the book and everything was run by him before it went into production. He also cameos at the end of the show.
Non-spoiler - Reacher gets dropped off by bus in Margrave, GA. His first stop is a diner for a cup of coffee and piece of peach pie, but before he can eat it he's arrested for murder.
