Prey Teaser Trailer
The official synopsis on this is:
The origin story of the Predator in the world of the Comanche Nation 300 years ago. Naru, a skilled female warrior, fights to protect her tribe against one of the first highly-evolved Predators to land on Earth.
It's only a few precious seconds to tease us, but it looks like it might be damned good with Predator is going300 years in the past! It's great to see all the First Nations talent on both sides of the camera here too. As you will see below Prey drops on Hulu in early August.
Director: Dan Trachtenberg
Writer: Patrick Aison(screenplay)
Stars: Amber Midthunder, Dane DiLiegro, Stefany Mathias, Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kip
This is how you do a teaser! I'm hoping they can bring the Predator story back to something interesting. I'd love to see more historical period Predator movies too.
Great to see native talent front and center.
It looks interesting I may have to subscribe to Hulu.
Amber Midthunder has been great in a number of things now. I watched her in Legion on FX a while back.
She has a lead role in the upcoming movie, ''Killers of the Flower Moon'' a Martin Scorcese movie with Leonardo DiCaprio.
I don't see her listed under that movie on IMDB. It looks like something I'd be interested in though. Lily Gladstone plays the lead female there, I think. She's a great actress too.
My mistake, she was originally set to be in the movie but evidently, she isn't in the cast.
Seeing as both movies are in post production it may have been a scheduling conflict. Both women are amazing though and I'll most likely see both movies.
If you're not familiar with the movie it's based on a true story of the killing of Native Americans (Osage) to get their oil rights. It's the FBI's first major case. Also Robert Di Niro is in the cast as well.
I'm vaguely familiar. I'm sure there will be more information put out as the movie gets closer to release on the whole story. I see articles from Indian Country Today on my newsfeed quite often.
Apple debuted the first official photo from “Killers of the Flower Moon” on May 10, 2021. The image depicts Leonardo DiCaprio as Ernest Burkhart and Lily Gladstone as Mollie Burkhart. The characters are married in the film. Also on display in the first look image is Jack Fisk’s production design. “Flower Moon” marks a first-time collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Fisk
I will have to watch this. I got bored with predator after the one that starred ....dammit!....I hate when I do this. He played the bad guy in Witness...Danny Glover! Yeah! That's the guy.
What I'm getting from this is that the Predators have been hunting man for a long time, probably about the time man turned violent
That would have been Predator 2. After that was a couple terrible Alien vs Predator movies, Predators (with Adrian Brody) which I liked and then The Predator which was just garbage.
Someone on another site mentioned a trophy room shot showing human weapons from all the time periods. That might have been on Predator 2?
It was! I remember Danny Glover's character was invited into the trophy room. There were trophies from other planets and one of them was the xenomorph from Alien. They also had different weapons but I don't think they were all human (I swear I saw a Klingon weapon in there). The predator gave DG an antique gun. Colt 45 maybe?
It's been a very long time since I've seen that movie, I can't remember a whole lot from it.
I only saw the first movie and the one with the guy from the 70's show.
This looks interesting but I don't want to join a streaming service. I think the only service I have now is Paramount plus.
You can do a free 30 day trial to Hulu...
One doesn't see much in the 46 second teaser trailer, and there is no way I'll get to see the movie for at least 3 years due to copyright rules, as I will not go to a theatre. However, even that 46 seconds was enough to build up some interest and anticipation at what I predict will be a movie worth watching.
Hi Buzz. The movie is only on Hulu streaming service. I don't know if you get that where you are, but if you do you can sign up for a 30 day free trial and cancel before the 30 days.
With all those "free trials" don't you still have to post a credit card or something? I won't post anything financial on the internet. Back in Canada my bank account was hit once, and it taught me a lesson.
A lot of online bank accounts now require you to enter a six digit code when you log in, a code they texted to your mobile phone a minute earlier. This should eliminate most online bank fraud.
Yes.
Okay? Life is all about trade-offs and if this works for you, then good. I'm okay with it.
True, 2 factor authentication is more the rule than the exception online these days. My credit union instead asked one of several security questions.
Never the less, Buzz's issue isn't logging into his back, but leaving his CC number on a website where it can be stolen. I've not know any streaming services to be hacked, but many, many retail companies have been. One was hacked through it's climate controls and from there the hackers worked their way into all the sections of the company and eventually into the credit card database.
I'm not starved for movies anyway. There are about 7 24/7 TV channels here that show foreign movies, and there are always at least 2 or 3 English language ones on at any time, although they have to be at least 3 years old for copyright reasons. Not only that, I've been enjoying watching a lot of old and not well known movies on tubi lately. Yesterday on tubi I watched Thunder Road written by and starring Robert Mitchum, and recently Robert Duvall in 7 Days in Utopia - not exactly Oscar class movies, but entertainment.
Interesting in that according to the story line, this supposed to be the first time the predators set foot on Earth. How does that reconcile with the plot line in the Alien vs Predator film set in Antarctica in a ancient pyramid temple buried under the ice with a frozen xenomorph alien queen inside it and hunted by alien predators?
Consistency hasn't really played a big part between the Predator movies.
Very true.
