5 Movies Recently Repeated That I've Enjoyed Watching More Than Once
They tend to show movies over and over again here, but in the case of these five movies, I've appreciated being able to watch them more than once.
A Knight's Tale (2001)
Heath Ledger had a great future ahead of him, unfortunately cut too short. The movie mixes current verbal expressions and music into a medieval time frame besides being a movie wherein dreams come true, and a lesson learned that being a good person will bring success on different levels.
The Magic of Belle Isle (2012)
Morgan Freeman is one of my favourite actors and he did not disappoint me in this happy-ending tale where the characters interact with each other in such a way as to bring the best out of all.
The Accountant (2016)
At one time in my life I was the president of an organization that owned a farm near Toronto that we used as a respite home for autistic children, so watching this movie I felt more deeply about the superiority of the main character than most might have. The main character, played by Ben Affleck was an autistic savant.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri (2017)
Frances McDormand is the catalyst of a lot of catastrophe in this movie, even though she meant her actions to accomplish what had not been done, and her low-key performance is much like she was in Fargo.
The Red Turtle (2016)
I can't praise this animated film enough, wherein the only word said is a shouted "hey". It is a dream, put into film form. Although it has won prizes it was only nominated for an Oscar, and IMO should have won it.
What fairly recent movies have those reading this article seen recently that they may have enjoyed watching more than once because it was worth doing so?

Gran Torino
Million Dollar Baby
A Bronx Tale
Apocalypto
Bridesmaids
Bowling For Columbine
Gran Torino for sure. The end of Million Dollar Baby is something I'd rather not watch again. Although I know I saw it in the far past, I can't remember Bowling for Columbine, and I don't think I've seen the other three.
Apocalypto is an adrenaline rush. Members of a small isolated tribe in the jungle of Central America are captured by the Mayans and brought back to the capitol to become human sacrifice. One of them escapes, and in the process kills the Mayan generals son. The rest of the movie is a foot chase through the jungle with 7 or 8 Mayans pursuing one man. A strange and exciting movie directed by Mel Gibson, who knows how to do action.
Bridesmaids is a comedy with Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig about the bridesmaids , and the bride, leading up to a wedding. Vulgarly funny at times, but also has a prolonged message about self-respect.
A Bronx Tale, directed by Robert De Niro, is about an Italian America kid as he grows up under the influence of a neighborhood Mafia boss. DeNiro uses the same sort of milieu you might expect from Scorsese to great effect. Even has a Scorsese style narration .
I have seen the first two Alien movies several times.
Ones I wish they would stop showing is all the Harry Potter movies. They are on all the time.
It is either a Harry Potter movie or a Jurassic park movie...
I've never seen a Harry Potter movie shown here, but over the last couple of weeks they did show the Jurassic Park ones.
I've watched The Accountant a few times, thought there'd be a sequel but haven't seen one.
Hunt For Red October
Bourne series
Kingsman movies
John Wick Series
Sound of Music
My Fair Lady - with Audrey Hepburn
Ford vs Ferrari
Sicario movies
Hello Dolly with Barbara Streisand
Good choices. I would add Hunt For Red October to my list - I've always enjoyed watching Sean Connery.
The way the Accountant ended, with some things not tied up such as his remaining at large, a meeting coming up with his brother in a week, a question about a possible reconnecting with Dana (although I would assume that he would be aware that any relationship with him would put her in danger) I think you're right that a sequel is very possible.
I just watched The Accountant for at least the 3rd time last weekend on HBOMax.
I have a so many movies on physical disk these days - at least several hundred. I'm double dipping for Edge of Tomorrow to upgrade from the BluRay to the 4K disk. I'll be watching that sometime this weekend. I've watched the Fifth Element so many times I can recite lines... There are tons of movies I watch over and over. I don't know if I could list any in order of preference. It depends on my mood.
I totally understand your feelings about movies. Sometimes, after I've watched a movie, often missing some of the dialogue, I do a web search and open the script and read it through, then when I watch the movie again I can pick up on some of the dialogue that I've missed which makes the movie more meaningful to me.
Lovely family movies:
Sound of Music
My Fair Lady
and also
Schindlers List - I felt was very moving, and showed that despite everything, good can still survive.
I suppost Schindler's list could be considered a family movie if the kids are old enough to understand it, and it's used as a lesson about The Holocaust. I will be posting a movie quiz in a couple of hours, if you're into movies, check it out to see if you want to play.
