Weird Movie Quiz
WEIRD MOVIE QUIZ
PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS, MOVIE OR ACTOR NAMES OR EVEN A HINT IN A COMMENT, OR YOU WILL RUIN THE QUIZ FOR EVERYONE ELSE. POST THEM IN A PRIVATE NOTE TO ME, BUZZ OF THE ORIENT, AND I WILL REPLY WITH YOUR SCORE AND THE CORRECT ANSWERS.
Don't forget that I am on the other side of the world (of most of you) and I could be asleep when you send your answers, so be patient - I will get to your PN as soon as I can.
PLEASE, PLEASE , READ WHAT IS BELOW FIRST AND FOLLOW THE RULES IN ORDER TO GET FULL MARKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS. IT IS ALWAYS A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM THE LAST QUIZ.
This time, besides the two image clues, the third clue is and it is REQUIRED that the movie MUST be one of the 79 movies on the Weird/Bizarre/Unusual Movies IMDb list linked below. Only 79 instead of 100 moves so the odds are increased in your favour. Open and use the list to help you with finding the correct match to the clues and making sure of title accuracy. The release year of the movie is not necessary.

I think some of these movies are more quirky than weird, and I have seen only 9 of them myself so hopefully this quiz will be a little easier than the last one since many of them will be identifiable by the clue images, and some of those are REALLY easy. However, some will still require you to either have watched the movies or been familiar with them because the clues will represent an item, fact, scenario or aspect that will require you to know the story. I assume not many of the 20 quiz movies would be well known movies, and only a few have been included in previous quizzes, but these are almost all new image clues, and as usual I don't think any of them are actual screen shots from the movies. I try to use clues that do not make it easy to do a web search, and since this is a test of your knowledge of movies, web searching using web programs that identify movies from the clues is cheating.
Note that I never use the same movie more than once in the same quiz, and usually the order of the clues is important. A bit of advice. Some clues might suggest more than one movie, so make sure you take BOTH clues into consideration.
THE RULES
I am being fairly lenient in my scoring, and not overly concerned about spelling mistakes, punctuation, capitalizing or leaving out or adding an extraneous "A" or "The", but even if you guess the answer you should check the movie name on the linked movie list to make sure it is the full and correct name. For example, you will lose a half mark if you make the title one word if it is two, or two words when it is only one because that means to me that you are not sure of the title. So just identifying the images does not necessarily mean that you know the name of the movie. As well, if you can convince me that my clues are equally or better indicative of a movie other than the one I've chosen, provided it is one of the 79 movies on the IMDb list linked above, I will accept that alternative as a good answer. In the previous few quizzes I did accept alternatives. Please also send only one answer for each question - I cannot score it if you provide more than one movie per question.

This one should be interesting. Most of it is bound to be easy but you could get stuck on one or two - after all a quiz has to be a challenge, doesn't it? There may be TV movies among the questions. Although the movies are supposed to be, as the list title indicates, weird, bizarre or unusual, I don't think all of them are. So please have a go with these, and remember as always.…
PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS, MOVIE OR ACTOR NAMES OR EVEN A HINT IN A COMMENT HERE, OR YOU WILL RUIN THE QUIZ FOR EVERYONE ELSE. POST THEM IN A PRIVATE NOTE TO ME, BUZZ OF THE ORIENT, AND I WILL REPLY WITH YOUR SCORE AND THE CORRECT ANSWERS.
This quiz will be closed on Thursday at about 9:30 p.m. New York City time.
Thanks for posting that for your friend living in NY.
You're welcome, friend.
This will take some thinking
You can say that again. Oh, you did,
This will take some thinking
You shouldn't have to double down too much for this one, though.
NOTICE TO INTENDED PARTICIPANTS: I originally posted in my first comment above that the quiz would be closed on Tuesday, but realizing that most people will be very busy and distracted over the next few days I adjusted that and the quiz will not be closed until Thursday evening at about 9:30 p.m. New York City time.
Oh man... I've actually seen only a few of the movies on this list.. gonna have to think on this. Doubly hard as I was volunteered to host Christmas so I've been busy cleaning & cooking. Guess that's what I get for retiring when all the others have to work. but I keep pushing them to stay working so they can pay money into that legal ponzi scheme called Social Security in order to fund my retirement. LOL
And a bump back to the front page...
I looked over the list again and determined that I've actually seen half the movies on the quiz, but as you know I'm a dedicated movie watcher.
This will take some thought, so I'm glad we have until Thursday. Thanks again, Buzz!
You're welcome.
Looks like a bummmmmmp is needed!
Appreciated.
And "bimping" back to the front page
Hopefully to hang around for a while.
THE BAD NEWS: As carefull as I've been, not leaving our apartment for almost two months due to this surge of the virus, I now got it as indicated on a home test, and I've never been vaccinated. Years ago when people started gettiing vaccinated I was told I was too old and they were concerned about the side effects. I tried again about a month ago now that they're focussing on the elderly and was told they don't vaccinate foreigners. I wrote to the Canadian Consulate in Chongqing for advice and help, and they ignored me, and now I have a really bad sore throat, and for a while, but fortunately no longer, a dry cough that causes pain in my lungs when I cough, but fortunately my fever has been hovering at and less than a hslf a degree celcius above normal i.e. 37.2 C to 37.5 C where normal is 37 C. Because of my low fever, my doctor friend told me I obviously have a mild case and so to NOT go to the hospital which is crowded with covid paitents and a bed might not even be available, and I would be better off at home with my wife being my nursemaid, and she has been fully vaccinated. The doctor said that since I had only a mild case of it I would soon recover. However, I'm still okay mentally if just a touch dizzy so I expect I will still be scoring your answers and it would make me feel a lot better mentally at least if more than the usual suspects submitted them for a change. So far only one person has participated.
Get well soon

Get well soon.
Received and scored, thanks for all.
Three members have participated so far, all with high scores and every question has been answered by someone or other so no questions are impossible. In fact, I think this is probably an easier quiz that the Road Movies Quiz. Hoping for more participation over the next few days. There will be no new quizzes posted while I'm recoving from what has now been idenfified from my symptoms as the omicron variant, and fortunately not the earlier one which would have been much more dangerous for me.
Submitted - hope you get well soon and this remains a mild case.
Thanks, received and scored, and thanks for the good wishes.
bimp
bimp??? Think of the possible mistaken spellings of blimp, pimp, etc. LOL
Or the synonyms.....
Whacking back to the front page....
There's still time, brothers and sisters.

This will be your last chance to do a movie quiz for some time, because I am suffering from the Covid omicron bf7 variant that has a debilitating effect and will take a while before I survive it, if I do.

It's quiz closing time - the last quiz of 2022 and due to my covid infection the last one for a while. Six members participated, and everyone made it to the winner's circle. Tied for first place are Split Personality and Perrie, each with perfect scores of 20 out of 20. Snuffy came in second with a score of 19. Vic Eldred and Charger 383 were just behind tying for third place with scores of 18 1/2, and Honourable mention goes to Jasper2529 who scored 17. Thanks to all who participated. Here are the answers for those who didn't think that scoring on such a quiz is either possible or fun.

NOW is the time for discussion about the quiz, the questions, and making reference to movies, actors, and any other hints, because the quiz is closed so such discussion will follow the rules rather than contravening them.
Congrats SP & Perrie on first place. Congrats also to Vic, Charger and Jasper, well done. And thanks Buzz... another fun quiz.
Thank you!
I don't intend to send notification PNs to anyone about the closing and winners' list - it's been absolutely clear as to when they would be posted and anyone interested can check it out themselves, since the quiz ia still on the front page.
I think it was one of your best.
Congrats to all!
