EASY ONE IMAGE QUIZ - CULT MOVIES
EASY ONE IMAGE QUIZ - CULT MOVIES
PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS, ANY MOVIE OR ACTOR NAMES OR EVEN A HINT IN A COMMENT, OR YOU WILL RUIN THE QUIZ FOR EVERYONE ELSE. POST THEM IN A PRIVATE NOTE TO ME, BUZZ OF THE ORIENT, AND I WILL REPLY WITH YOUR SCORE AND THE CORRECT ANSWERS.
Don't forget that I am on the other side of the world (of most of you) and I could be asleep when you send your answers, so be patient - I will get to your PN as soon as I can.
PLEASE, PLEASE, READ WHAT IS BELOW FIRST AND FOLLOW THE RULES IN ORDER TO GET FULL MARKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS. BECAUSE THIS TIME IT IS REALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE LAST QUIZ.
This time, you get only ONE visual clue and the second clue is and it is REQUIRED that the movie MUST be a movie on the IMDb list of The 100 Greatest Cult Films that is linked following this paragraph. I've seen less than half of the movies on the quiz but that doesn't matter because except for one question you don't have to have seen the movie to guess the answer, and that one is a movie I’ve used before and used the same clue for it. So almost all the movies can be identified from just the single image that will shout out the title. A few have been included in previous quizzes, but these are almost all new image clues, and as usual I don't think any of them are actual screen shots from the movies. I used clues that make it easy to identify the movies so you don’t have to do a web search, and since this is a test of your ability to add 2 + 2 to equal 4, web searching using web programs that identify movies from the clues is cheating.
LINK to IMDb list -> https://www.imdb.com/list/ls000571226/
Note that I never use the same movie more than once in the same quiz.
THE RULES
As always, I am being fairly lenient in my scoring, and not overly concerned about spelling mistakes, punctuation, capitalizing or leaving out or adding an extraneous "A" or "The", but even if you guess the answer you should check the movie name on the linked list or web to make sure it is the full and correct name. For example, and this will be important for all my quizzes, you will lose a half mark if you make the title one word if it is two, or two words when it is only one because that means to me that you are not sure of the title. Not providing the whole title, as was done with Dr. Strangelove on the previous quiz will also cost a half mark. Just identifying the images does not necessarily mean that you know the name of the movie. That is why it is important for you to check your answers with the lists to make sure they are correct. Almost invariably a participant is going to lose at least one half point because they don't bother to check their answer with the list. As well, if you can convince me that my clues are equally as relevant for or better indicative of a movie other than the one I've chosen, provided it is one of the 100 movies on the IMDb list linked above, I will accept that alternative as a good answer. In previous quizzes I have accepted alternatives. Please also send only one answer for each question - I cannot score it if you provide more than one movie per question.
A situation came up on a previous quiz where the movie list link I used came up with a different name than the one the participant opened although it was the same link, so if that happens, please tell me.
Please number your answers the same as the questions.

Since even a quiz about politics wasn't enough to entice the politics-obsessed members of NT to have a little fun instead of verbally screaming at each other over the great divide, I have created here the second most easy quiz I have ever put together - almost no challenge whatsoever. A six-year old could be included in the winners' circle with this one. As well, for those regular players who complain about not having time to play even with my allowing at least a whole week, if you can't finish this one and get a perfect or near-perfect score from spending no more than an hour to complete it and submit your answers, maybe you really DON'T have time for a quiz. So here it is, enjoy, but remember always (I actually didn't contravene my own rule last time)....
PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS, ANY MOVIE OR ACTOR NAMES OR EVEN A HINT IN A COMMENT HERE, OR YOU WILL RUIN THE QUIZ FOR EVERYONE ELSE. POST THEM IN A PRIVATE NOTE TO ME, BUZZ OF THE ORIENT, AND I WILL REPLY WITH YOUR SCORE AND THE CORRECT ANSWERS.
This quiz will be closed and the winners announced Thursday September 14th at around 10 p.m. New York time.
Thinking
Shouldn't take too much.
Sometimes one clue is harder!
Surely not in this case.
Thanks for a new quiz!
Looking forward to your answers.
Woo hoo!! New Quiz!!! Thanks Buzz
You're welcome.
If I post this BUMP in a bold font, will it get us on the front page?
The more bumps the better to do the trick.
NOTICE OF CLUE CHANGE
It has come to my attention that the original clue for number 15 was a screen shot from a movie, and that it is misleading, so I have replaced it and given anyone who has submitted answers the opportunity to change their answer for number 15.
Submitted.
Received and scored, thanks.
Saturday morning bump to stay on the front page.
Always a big help.

Good idea.
Just got back and have just a few to figure yet, so it is quite easy, good thing, this quiz was posted 3 days ago and the Thursday deadline only gave me 4 days.
Hope 4 days is enough time for you.
I'm pretty sure it is. I think the one's I didn't get right away, with a little research I should have them shortly.
Waiting patiently.
Submitted and a morning bump
Received and scored, thank you. I think we need more help to keep this quiz visible, so thanks for the bump.
Wiped off the page and still a few days to go. Can't beat the politics.
NOTICE TO INTENDED PARTICIPANTS
You now have only a little less than 12 hours from now to submit your answers. Please don't leave it until the last minute.
Bumping back to the front page. Less than 12 hours to go for this quiz.
Nice try.
Get the answers in soon!
Thanks, but unfortunately your suggested has just blown in the wind.
This quiz is now closed. I'm quite disappointed that regular participants didn't play, and no new ones helped to bring this quiz the minimum 2 digit numbers I hoped for. However, since this one didn't work to do that, I'm going to post a new quiz that a 6 year old who watches movies could not possibly get wrong. Maybe that one will drag some of the reluctant and scared of movies ones out of the woods, IF I STILL HAVE ACCESS TO NT, WITH NO THANKS TO A MEMBER WHO POSTED AN ARTICLE THAT COULD GET RID OF NT HERE. Anyway, maybe for the last time, top scores of 20 were shared by Dig, Veronica, charger 383, and Kathleen. Tied for second place were Jasper2529, Snuffy, and Vic, while third place went to bccrane with a score of 17 1/2. Thanks and congratulations to all who played. The answers who have neither the ability or desire to participate in something that is fun to do and takes up little of their time away from politics are:
enjoyed the quiz, and exercise for the brain keeps it young
I enjoy creating them, but now I think that maybe someone else should learn how to do them if I'm no longer able to access NT.
Why would you say that?
Sorry, I missed it this time, but I play almost all the time.
I just sent you a PN.
Congrats to everyone! I'm looking forward to the next one, Buzz!
