CLINT EASTWOOD / WOODY ALLEN DIRECTED MOVIES QUIZ
CLINT EASTWOOD / WOODY ALLEN DIRECTED MOVIES QUIZ
PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS, ANY MOVIE OR ACTOR NAMES, IMAGES, MOVIE QUOTES OR EVEN A HINT IN A COMMENT, OR YOU WILL RUIN THE QUIZ FOR EVERYONE ELSE. POST THEM IN A PRIVATE NOTE TO ME, BUZZ OF THE ORIENT, AND I WILL REPLY WITH YOUR SCORE AND THE CORRECT ANSWERS.
Don't forget that I am on the other side of the world (of most of you) and I could be asleep when you send your answers, so be patient - I will get to your PN as soon as I can.
PLEASE, PLEASE , READ WHAT IS BELOW FIRST AND FOLLOW THE RULES IN ORDER TO GET FULL MARKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS. THIS QUIZ IS JUST A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM THE PREVIOUS QUIZ.
Quite a while ago I prepared a quiz of the movies of two different movie directors, so I'm repeating that topic, but this time you will have only one picture clue per question. The second clue per question is, and for the answer to be correct, it is REQUIRED that it MUST be a movie on the linked IMDb lists Films Directed by Woody Allen (47 films) or Movies Directed by Clint Eastwood (39 films), located just below this paragraph. There may be similar lists with the same names so please use ONLY the ones that are linked. The visual clues represent words, scenarios or images that may be relevant to the movie title or can be found in the mini-synopsis of the movie on the linked IMDb lists. That means you will not have had to see the movie to identify the movie from the visual clue or mini-synopses because you may not have seen all the movies I've chosen but surely at least some of them. I have seen eight of the movies on this quiz - a few may have already been used in previous quizzes, and I may have used the same or a similar clue for one or two of them as I had before. I don't think any of the clues are actual screen shots from the movies. I try to use clues that do not make it easy to do a web search, and since this is a test of your knowledge of movies, web searching using google or web programs that identify movies from the clues is cheating. The real fun of the quiz is using the visual clue and mini-synopses required to identify the movies, so cheating just means you're a dishonest person, if that's what you want to think of yourself for the rest of your life.
Films Directed by Woody Allen (IMDb) LINK -> https://www.imdb.com/list/ls082307679/
Movies Directed by Clint Eastwood (IMDb) LINK -> https://www.imdb.com/list/ls044175319/
Be careful to use ONLY these particular linked lists because there are similar lists that do not have the same movies listed.
Note that I never use the same movie more than once in the same quiz.
THE RULES
I am being fairly lenient in my scoring, and not overly concerned about spelling mistakes, obvious typos, punctuation, capitalizing or leaving out or adding an extraneous "A" or "The", but especially if you guess the answer you should check the movie name on the linked lists or web to make sure it is the full and correct name . For example, and this will be important for all my quizzes, you will lose a half mark if you make the title one word if it is two, or two words when it is only one because that means to me that you are not sure of the title and you never checked your answer with the list to make sure it is correct. Just identifying the image does not necessarily mean that you know the name of the movie. That is only one of the reasons why it is important for you to check your answers with the lists to make sure they are correct . As well, if you can convince me that my clues are equally as relevant for or better indicative of a movie other than the one I've chosen, provided it is one of the movies on the IMDb lists linked above, I will accept that alternative as a good answer. In previous quizzes I did accept alternatives for the questions. Please also send only one answer for each question - I cannot score it if you provide more than one movie name per question.
A few who played the quizzes previously had quit because of the rules. But I wish to ask if there is a game or quiz that does NOT have rules that must be followed?
A few times now a situation came up on previous quizzes where the movie list link I used came up with a different name than the one the participant got although it was the same link, so if that happens, and usually it is a foreign movie, please tell me when I score your answers.
Do not forget that BOTH the picture clue and the information from the linked list must be taken into consideration. Not doing so is the greatest reason for loss of score.
Please number your answers the same as the questions.

Posting this quiz a little early, but what the hell, why wait 'til Spring?
Okay, quizplayers, I'm back, this time with a quiz of movies directed by Clint Eastwood and by Woody Allen, and back again with one picture clue only because everyone (save for one) who played the last quiz wherein I had used TWO picture clues got perfect scores - much too easy. I think that at least a LITTLE challenge is necessary and I don't think you'll find this quiz is going to be very difficult, but as always, I'm sure it will be fun. Some of the questions are super-easy but some could be a little tricky. So give it a shot, but remember as always....
This quiz will be open for one week and will be closed on Friday March 29 at about 10 p.m. New York City time.
Quite a contrast of directors.
Variety is the spice of life.
Woo hoo!!! got the answer to #1.. only 19 more to go!
Some of them are so easy I expect players to laugh out loud when they see them.
Love this quiz. Clint is one of my all-time faves.
Go ahead. Make Buzz's day!
Perrie makes the days for all of us.
Thanks Buzz!
LOL!!
But I thought you didn't like Woody because of the situation with a young woman. Actually I can't stand how whiney he is in his movies.

Thanks for that. Every bump helps.

Double your pleasure, double your fun, cause for the quiz two bumps are better than one.
Bumpity Bumpity Bump
Pulls us out of the dump.
And keeps us on the Front Page rather than on our rump.
But ony for a little while, if at all.
But let us remain and do not fall.
Back on the page as you can see
Keep up the bumps, It pleases me

Received and scored. Thanks.

Two more days the rest to fill
Thursday morning bump, come on get off your rump
Get your answers in, which make Buzz grin
So then he's not a grump!
Am I really a grump?
So what do you want for PUNisment Thursday? I could post meme's but bad poetry is so much more fun... hehe
Pretty well any bump will do, as long as it doesn't do any damage.
No hit points were inflicted and only a d4 was used to generate damage points. hehe
Whatever it takes to keep us on the page, provided we follow the rules.
It's a Friday morning bump. Get your answers in or you will have to face the blues.
Submitted, there were a few guesses required because I ended up with little time and tomorrow is a bust and wouldn't be back until Monday.
Received and scored, thanks.
Going with what I have, busy tomorrow
Fun exercise for the brain
Received and scored. Thank you - we've got 10 participants, don't expect more but I'm pretty happy with that.
This quiz is now closed. I'm happy to see we're back to double digit participation - we had 10 players. This quiz was a little more difficult, which I note from the fact that only two players got perfect 20 scores - Veronica and Dig. Snuffy and Kathleen each scored 19 to share second place, and Perrie stood third with 18, while honourable mention goes to Split Personality and bccrane with scores of 17. My thanks to all who played and congratulations to those who made it to the Winners' Circle.
Here are the answers for all others to see and compare with the questions above in the hopes that they might see that it can be fun to do, and be encouraged to try their luck next time.
The next quiz is called "Challenging Movie Quiz" and it will be a little more challenging - no lists and one picture clue per question only. It won't be easy to get a high score on this one. I am posting it now.
Thanks Buzz, this was a fun quiz.
Congrats to everyone who played, well done all!!!
Keep up the good work, Snuffy.
