DONALD SUTHERLAND / ANNA PAQUIN MOVIE GAME
DONALD SUTHERLAND / ANNA PAQUIN MOVIE GAME
PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS, ANY MOVIE OR ACTOR NAMES, IMAGES, MOVIE QUOTES OR EVEN A HINT IN A COMMENT, OR YOU WILL RUIN THE GAME FOR EVERYONE ELSE. POST THEM IN A PRIVATE NOTE TO ME, BUZZ OF THE ORIENT, AND I WILL REPLY WITH YOUR SCORE AND THE CORRECT ANSWERS.
Don't forget that I am on the other side of the world (of most of you) and I could be asleep when you send your answers, so be patient - I will get to your PN as soon as I can.
PLEASE, PLEASE , READ WHAT IS BELOW FIRST AND FOLLOW THE RULES IN ORDER TO GET FULL MARKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS. THIS GAME IS DIFFERENT FROM THE PREVIOUS GAME, BUT SIMILAR TO THE ONE BEFORE IT.
Canadian actors take the stage for this game. Only one picture clue was needed for all the questions this time and in many cases the single picture clue will virtually shout out the movie title. There are two separate IMDb movie lists, and for the answer to be correct, it is REQUIRED that it MUST be a movie on the linked IMDb movie lists for 71 Donald Sutherland movies and 36 Anna Paquin movies located just below this paragraph. There may be similar lists with the same names so please use ONLY the ones that are linked. The visual clues represent words, scenarios or images that may be relevant to the movie title or words relevant to the movie title can be found in the mini-synopsis of the movie on the linked IMDb lists. That means you will not have had to see the movie to identify the movie from the clues. I have seen six of the movies on this game that I can remember - a few may have already been used in previous quizzes/games, and I may have used the same or similar clues for one or two of them as I had before. I don't think any of the clues are actual screen shots from the movies. I try to use clues that do not make it easy to do a web search, and since this is a test of your ability to find the answers, web searching using google or web programs that identify movies from the clues is cheating. The real fun of the game is using the visual clues and mini-synopses required to identify the movies, so cheating just means you're a dishonest person, if that's what you want to think of yourself for the rest of your life.

Sort By IMDb Rating - Highly Rated Feature Films With Anna Paquin (IMDb) LINK -> https://www.imdb.com/filmosearch/?role=nm0001593&sort=user_rating,desc&page=1&title_type=movie
Be careful to use ONLY THOSE TWO particular linked lists because there are similar lists that do not have the same movies listed.
Note that I never use the same movie more than once in the same game.
THE RULES
I am being fairly lenient in my scoring, and not overly concerned about spelling mistakes, obvious typos, punctuation, capitalizing or leaving out or adding an extraneous "A" or "The", but especially if you guess the answer you should check the movie name on the linked lists or web to make sure it is the full and correct name . For example, and this will be important for all my games, you will lose a half mark if you make the title one word if it is two, or two words when it is only one because that means to me that you are not sure of the title and you never checked your answer with the list to make sure it is correct. Just identifying the image does not necessarily mean that you know the name of the movie. That is only one of the reasons why it is important for you to check your answers with the lists to make sure they are correct. As well, if you can convince me that my clues are equally as relevant for or better indicative of a movie other than the one I've chosen , provided it is one of the movies on the IMDb lists linked above , I will accept that alternative as a good answer. Previously I did accept alternatives for the questions. Please also send only one answer for each question - I cannot score it if you provide more than one movie name per question.
A few who played the quizzes previously had quit because of the rules. But I wish to ask if there is a game or quiz that does NOT have rules that must be followed?
A few times now a situation came up previously where the movie list link I used came up with a different name than the one the participant got when they opened that same movie name although it was the same link, so if that happens, and usually it is a foreign movie, please tell me when I score your answers.
Please number your answers the same as the questions.

No killer questions, no "out of the box" thinking required for this one - there should be a lot of perfect scores, so I'm making up for having given you a little challenge the last time. Donald Sutherland and Anna Paquin are relatively well known Canadian actors and I thought it would be about time I paid homage to my home country. Do you think I should do Mary Pickford next time? I could combine her with Ryan Gosling or Michael J. Fox. Never mind, enjoy a walk in the park this time, but as always remember...

This quiz will be open for a week and closed on Monday April 29th at about 10 p.m. New York Time if my computer lasts that long.
Will start thinking about the clues
Looking forward to the results of your deliberations.
Starting on this one
Should be an easy romp from start to finish.
Submitted, you were correct. An easy romp and a lot of fun.
Received and scored, thanks. This would be a good one for first-timers to give it a shot, since they don't even have to have seen any of the movies to play the game.
Wednesday bump.......................
Thanks for that. Jim. Why don't you give the game a try? As the delicatessen waitress would say, "Try it, you'll like it."
ANNA PAQUIN? This is going to be tough.
Tough? Why? Surely you KNOW you never had to see any of her movies to answer the questions correctly.
In case someone thinks Vic broke the rule by mentioning an actor's name, I need to say it is an obvious exception if the name is of one of the actors mentioned in the game title.
It's a rather easy game this time, I think you can do it. (yep, ripping off Nike but if they don't like it they can hire another lawyer hehe)
Oh, and it's a Thursday morning bump. A two-fer if you will!!!
You're a great help, thanks.
Working on it, should have them all soon.
The frogs were frozen under for the third time yesterday morning, it got in the low 20's F that night, last night just above freezing. Today it was sunny but just a little chilly and this coming weekend nearing 80.
Thanks for the weather report. LOL
Submitted.
Received and scored. Thank you.
It's Friday Morning.... Play a fun and easy game this weekend.
Hopefully the weekend will bring more players - only two have participated so far, and only 3 more days to closing.
Maybe since this game has been pushed off the Front (Home) Page it's become yesterday's news.
Back to the Front Page you!!!
Yep, there she be.
still thinking about a few
Still a couple of days left.
Submitted
Received and scored with thanks.
Sent them in. After looking at clues all of a sudden, the last 2 came to me. Had to send it now because the cookout that was canceled last week is happening tomorrow lots of food and cold beer.
Received and scored. Thank you. Enjoy the cookout.
Before you go for Beer
Spend a moment here
play the game
and figure ot the movie's name
A day to go yet only four,
I really hope there will be more,
Don't know what more that I can do
To tempt new players, just a few.
Sunday morning bump
Sunday evening thanks.
Another bump to a position further up and working on submitting.
Submitted
Received and scored, thanks.
You made it on time.
About 12 more hours to play the game. Come on in, it's easy to do. Take a stab at something fun for a change.
Nice try, but unfortunately no cigar.
This movie game is now closed. It is unfortunate that only 5 have played, and that is causing some changes to be made which I will discuss below. In the meantime all who did play made it to the Winner's Circle. Both Snuffy and Dig solved them all for perfect scores of 20. Second Place is shared by Vic Eldred and charger 383 with scores of 19, while Third Place was won by bccrane with a score of 18 1\2. My congratulations to all winners, and thanks to those who played and those who supported the game by voting it up and/or commenting,
Until now I have been posting the answers for all to see. I realize that it has been a mistake to do so. It would better encourage NT members to give the game a try by submitting their answers to me in which case they would share with those who do participate and in case of wrong answers given, will be told the right answers and a justification for them, besides the opportunity to convince me why their answers are just as acceptable as mine. As well, if I am right that our articles are seen on the web by the whole world, and some who are not members do try their skills with the game and wait for me to post the answers here for them to check it, maybe it will encourage them to sign up to a membership on NT, which costs them nothing and is a great site to belong to, and join those who enjoy the fun of playing the Movie Game.
Although I have already prepared the next game ready to post, I think it is time to give everyone a chance to survive without it, and maybe postpone the fun they would have had for another day.
Thanks to all, and goodbye for a while.
Buzz
Thanks Buzz. It's been fun and perhaps taking a break is a good thing as some people may come back later.
Congrats Dig and everyone who played, it was a fun game.
A break may be "a good thing", but I will not forget what Andy Dufresne wrote to Red..."Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies."
