Can Anyone Solve This Mystery?
Can Anyone Solve This Mystery?
Look at those socks. Take particular note that they are plain on the heel and the rest of the bottom, and they are ribbed on the rest of the sox. When I put my socks on in the morning the heel and bottom are on the heel and bottom of my feet. When I go to bed in the evening, the sock on my right foot is the way I put it on, BUT the sock on the left foot is reversed, with the heel and plain bottom sitting on TOP of my foot. This happens every day. My feet are identical, I walk normally, it doesn't matter what shoes, slippers, moccasins I wear, the same thing happens every day. Can anyone explain what happens, can this mystery be solved?

Has this weird thing ever happened to anyone else? Can anyone solve this mystery?
If this is a real thing, I would say you are twisting your left foot during the day in some way which is causing the left sock to "rotate". I have had this happen to me, although to a much lesser extent. ( the sock moves just part of the way, not 180 degrees, and it could be either foot.)
If this is not a real thing, but instead a riddle, I have no clue.
Maybe you have two left feet. How's your dancing?
I haven't danced for at least a quarter of a century if not longer. My parents were championship dancers, won many awards for it, and I wasn't that bad myself if I may say. Last time I looked the big toes were the inside toes, so I guess they aren't both the same.
Could be periodic limb movements of sleep (PLMS).
That would be an amazing trick for a person who sleeps with bare feet.
If I had to guess I'd say your left foot is your main pivoting foot and as such throughout the day the left sock rotates until it is bassackwards. Either that or the sock gnomies are messing with you
Best answer yet. I'll take particular note of my feet when I'm walking and see if I can detect that happening.
let me guess , you wear sandals or very loose fitting shoes as well most of the time ?
LOL. Right you are!!! I'm in my apartment most of the time and always wear loose-fitting moccasins unless I go out.
well a good guess would be , that , and with what freefaller suggested about which foot you use to pivot on , MAYBE having a slight gimp/limp to one side while walking .......combination of all the above might be happening resulting in the phantom sock movement .
If you wore normal fitted or tight shoes , the sock wouldnt have the opportunity to shift and move .
another thing most people dont know , everyone has one foot bigger than the other it doesnt have to be a big size difference , but there is one , usually its the dominant side foot thats bigger , so one sock will always have more room to move .
And so, the mystery could now be solved. Thanks for your help.
i wouldnt count out the sock gnomes just yet .
and no one mentioned polterguiests .....
You never know for sure, only The Shadow does.
Maybe you should just be thankful that when you put both socks in the washer they both come out again.
Definately blame sock gnomes for that
Guess my sock gnomes just "Do the Twist".
Did that gif show up for anyone?
Never mind, was just a temporary glitch.
LOL. No, our washing machine doesn't eat socks.
Quit doing the hoki pokie
