SHOCKERS: 5 Unforgettable Horrifying Moments in Movies
These are moments are etched into my memory, horrifying moments in movies that I will never forget, and never want to see again.
1. Psycho. I need not describe this one - virtually everyone who watches movies knows it.
2. The Shining. Jack Nicholson breaking through the door. This was an exception - it was supposed to be a horror but I used to watch Johnny Carson, and when Jack Nicholson shouted "Heeeeere's Johnny" I burst out laughing and couldn't stop.
3. Saving Private Ryan. The image of the soldier at the landing trying to stuff his guts back in, crying "Mama", was enough to sicken any person.
4. Schindler's List. When Schindler was up on a hill riding a horse looking down at the carnage in the streets, this scene of the Germans lining up Jews behind each other to see how many a rifle bullet would penetrate absolutely turned my stomach.
5. Rape of Nanking. The Japanese officers had bets on how many heads of innocent civilians they could chop off with their swords to see if they could reach 100. A similar atrocity to the German one above. I sympathize with the Chinese people entirely in their hatred of the Japanese. This particular photo, while shown in the movie, was from a Japanese newsreel.
