Birds From a Sunday in January

4981_discussions.jpg Mourning Dove

4982_discussions.jpg Red-bellied Woodpecker, Female

4983_discussions.jpg Robin, Male. Several Hundred Wintered over and picked the berries off of four American Holly Trees. This guy is puffed up to insulate himself from sub-freezing temperatures.

As always A Mac, your photos are absolutely beautiful!!!!

I can't wait until you start putting your Spring photos on here!

Maybe I'll get out there and take some myself then. They will not be nearly as nice as yours I'm sure, but I know from previous experience I'll really enjoy being out there taking them.

Sixpick,

Too bad we're in different parts of the country; it'd be a hoot taking some photos together (while not discussing politics). 'Course, I'd shoot all the scenes on the LEFT sides of trails and you on the RIGHT. We could invite Perrie and she'd photograph independently -- left, right and center.

They ate the berries off the Holly Trees? I thought they were poison. Mind you, I wouldn't mind eating a Halle Berry.

Birds have a different digestive system from that of humans

BTW, I'm glad you didn't say "Chuck Berry".

I don't know if I'll get criticized for saying this, but my taste in Berries is homophobic.
