The More I Restore the More They Look Like Before (And that can be Taken in at Least Two Ways)
In restoring old photographs (prints, slides, tintypes, etc.), in terms of their appearance, I try to make them look like they did when first made. And, when their subjects show how things were 100 plus years ago, they literally "Look Like Before," because the ARE "before"!
I'm about 150-200 glass slides into a project comprised of 900 to a 1000.
Here are some recent "fixes:.
The "roller coaster" of 1900 -- The Loop da Loop, Atlantic City, New Jersey, 1900.
Dedication of the Sailors and Soldiers Monument, Indianapolis, 1902
Dewey's Arch, Madison Square, New York, 1899-1900
Although these are technically "Public Domain" -- their Copyright protection expiring after 70 years, because I own the originals, I technically control the licensing rights.

Enjoy the look back.
Great photos AMac keep them coming many I'm sure will be of things long gone to us now.
I never tire of looking at these photos, not only for the history depicted, but also because of the photograph itself.
Wonderful work Mac. I really enjoy these old photos.
Thankfully, these are older than I am.
