Philosophy and Fishing; Kindred Spirits

Just published this framing print/poster image today. I don't think one needs to be into fishing in order to get its philosophical meaning and/or, interpret it for one's self.

Thank you my friend. I think you and Buzz and Gunny would be the best NT evaluators of this type image. (Hope I didn't leave any NT anglers out)

Badfish and I never agree on political issues but he's more than welcome to wet a line here.

Fishing and dreaming, tend to allow everyone, no matter their political point of view to enjoy each other and life.

Indeed, RW,

I think your evaluation is much more enlightened than mine.

All opinions/evaluations are welcomed!

It isn't fishing I am after either...it's just watching people fish that I find interesting. Very nice poster, Mac.

Sometimes I went fishing for food, sometimes for the challenge, but mostly I went fishing to relax my mind. Beautiful poster, A.Mac.

I see things not only with my eyes, but, with my heart as well.

That made me think of the saying: "There are none so blind as those who will not see." That line is thought to have come from the bible:

[From] the Bible, specifically Jer. 5:21 (King James version): "Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not.

Back to my being a classic movie buff (since I'm certainly not a bible scholar)....

In the Alistair Sim version of A Christmas Carol, the "reborn" Scrooge accepts his nephew Fred's Christmas dinner invitation, and says to Fred's wife, whom he had previously ignored and criticized Fred for marrying: "Can you forgive a foolish old man who has had no eyes to see and no ears to hear all these years?"

For I am a fish
Of a different color

And many such fish have caught their share of hell for being so.

Fascinating the way that the colors work here with the rippling of the waters. Beautiful. Thanks Mac. Your usual masterpiece.
