A.Mac, I hope you are not offended if I voice an opinion different from yours about the use of the dark framing. You may feel it draws the eye inward to the subject. IMO it is distracting and does not compliment the subject, being too much of a contrast. Perhaps if there were more dark shades in the subject, a darker frame would work better, but the fall colours of the subject are really softer, even if brighter. My preference was the light coloured "burled wood"-appearing frame that you posted in an earlier article, and which I complimented. I suppose the colour of the wall upon which the framed picture is mounted can also make a difference
However, no two people are going to have exactly the same tastes and opinions on everything, even if they agree on most things.
Every year I FALL for October.
Click on the pictures; they look their best when isolated in full size on a dark background.
Well, I fell this year, just from your photos Mac, and I will fall again next year.
A Mac
Magnificent!
The leaves are turning around here as well but not quite that pretty yet.
Thank you Kavika,
Maybe next fall you and I will hook up for some fishin' and fotos.
Thank you RIO -- I'm most happy to see you.
That sounds great Mac.
Every time I see RIO, all I can think about is this song:
Love your selection for this year, Mac. You capture our fall so well. Beautiful.

And what song is that, Perrie?
Buzz,
Next posting I'll try some lighter matting. We'll see how it looks.
