Coming to the Peak of Autumn, 2013 in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains

A beautiful day for photographing the most colorful season of the year -- grateful to have been here.

5780_discussions.jpg Sparkling!

5781_discussions.jpg Also sparkling -- but in its own way.

Nature is the Art of God (Sir Thomas Browne).

A few more a bit later.

Looking forward to more, if they are as spectacular as this one is, I will be in heaven.

(As Gomer would say) Golleeeee-ding, I can't believe that y'all are at the peak of autumn. It was green, green, green here today, hot and muggy, and the ragweed is in full bloom! (Snert!)

It sure is pretty up there!

Thanks for the beautiful picture! Smile.gif

In about two weeks, the colors will start exploding in the Philly area and I'll get the next edition rolling.

Spoiled I am!

One more before going to bed; tomorrow I will hopefully get some more pix.

Spoiled? Nahhhhh.... Just Lucky!

Ours is coming-- a few of the leaves are starting to turn. But all is still virulent, vigorous green. The deer are being scared up away from all the road construction, and I saw a herd of about 10 of them yesterday at work. That's a lot for being in the middle of "town"!

This is what it looks like here, these days... Not my picture, but I know who took the picture!

5782_discussions.png Love you, A. Mac!

Interesting AMac. In the first photo the colours are intense whereas in the second one they're more muted. By the way, what is that strange shape in the bottom left corner of the first photo?

Buzz,

It's a fallen and bent birch tree.

The muted colors in the bottom images are the result of light being filtered through the foliage and the fact that I took the picture later in the day when the sun was lower in the sky.
