Arlo Crosses Over The Bridge...
Dear Arlo,
You have been such a wonderful, loyal, loving friend, and we wish you could stay with us forever but we can see its time for you to cross the bridge. Dont let our sorrow hold you back as sad as we are to lose you, we are happy to know that on the other side all your ailments will go away and you will rest comfortably once again. We will never forget your cheerful face, your goofy playfulness, your ever hopeful wish for a treat to come your way, your giant puppy ears, and your baritone aarrrrrrooooooo words of Malamute wisdom. We will take good care of Cassie, and we want you to know that you will see her again sometime. Please give Saudi, Kibo, Housti, and Sarge our love, and tell them we think of them often. We miss you and all our canine friends so much!
With deep respect, love and affection we bid you farewell. Youre a good boy, Arlo a very very good boy and we love you very much!
Your people friends, Steve & Ellen

Thanks Mike! A beautiful prayer.
Holding him... and encouraging him to go... was a very tough thing to do... but I console myself with that very thought.
THANKS!!!
I am so very sorry for your loss! So very sorry that your dear baby/friend/family must leave you. No matter what, I believe in my heart that they will be with us when we cross over, and will meet us, tails wagging.
You are all in my prayers.
Love,
Marsha/Dowser
For Arlo,
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
Mal I am so sorry to hear about Arlo, I am wiping back the corners of my eye's 'cause I know this feeling. Lost a few good furry friends and it is never easy man. One of these days when you cross over, you'llpass over a rise, and see him chasing playing tag along with all of the other buddies, and he and Saudi, Kibo, Housti, and Sarge, will one after the other, see you and come running to welcome you with huge smiles. Dog's love never ends.
I know how much you loved Arlo and that the feeling was very mutual Theren are no words that will make you feel better. Each of our fur friends are special to us. Each one a person that we grieve for differently.
So in honor of Arlo my favorite doggy song
Wooof!
What a beautiful companion you have been fortunate to have, Mal! I am sorry, very sorry for your loss. Arlo deserved all the love you gave him, and I am glad he was such a big part of your life. May the treasure of his memory always bring joy to your heart!
A deep chesty bawl echos from rimrock to rimrock, rolls down the mountain, and fades into the far blackness of the night... Aarrrroooooooooooooooo...
Thank You Perrie... A beautiful song... I'm having trouble coming up with words right now... but still THANK YOU!!!! -S
Thank you Kavika! A love happy vision... I'll hold it in my heart.
What a beautiful doggy song..
The sincerity and beauty of your eulogy reflects the love and attachment you had with Arlo. May he frolic in the land that Kavika described.
Pets are people too!
My condolences we lost ours years ago and I have never had the heart or courage to risk that again.
P.S. Very happy to see you here on NT, Mal. You are an all-time favorite friend.
