Swan Lake? Naah.
There is a place over in New York State where I used to take my Bride just for the fun of it. I can't remember, sorry too long ago now, the name but for me it was interesting because visitors were not allowed to drive their cars to it. Instead about half way up the mountain we had to park our cars and board a bus for the rest of the way. Wonderful place to just wander about in. With that in mind, I found this picture taken so long ago and thought you folks would enjoy seeing it. These were the beauties for me!
RW, thanks so much for your kind words. I am still trying to recover some of my old lost photos and just stumbled over this one. We used to go over into New York in the Fall the most for their apples. Wonderful day trip.
The colors are mind boggling, and the reflection and swans are something to behold tsula.
Outstanding photo niijii
Thanks, Kavika. Vermont is noted for the Fall colors and we always spent at least one weekend up near Bennington. This place and part of New York had spectacular colors, as you can see. This place is a resort area and the Bride knew the owners because she did private duty for one of them, I can't remember which one. There was everything there and while we were a lot younger the walking was not a problem. Their gardens were really a treat.
Well done.
Tsula,
That picture is absolutely gorgeous. Only hope that I can someday do half as well.
Mac,
Still working with the camera on pictures of the flower. A long way to go before I master this camera, but, when I do, I will post the results. I did get some nice shots of some guys taking down a tree in my neighbor's yard, but the videos are more dramatic than the stills, and I still don't have a U-Tube account, so I can't post them. Someday soon, my daughter will teach me how to set up an account and I will post those. Where computer skills are concerned, I am totally at the mercy of my children, and have been since they were in the sixth grade (the daughter just graduated from college).
Magnificent colours, tsula, as well as the reflections and the subject itself - it's a National Geographic type of photo.
Wow, thanks all of you for your kind words. Buzz, thathas to be one of the nicest things said for an old point and shoot goomer like me over the years! Lucky shot was my feeling.
I wanted to clarify what I posted about this place in that the Bride says that this is Lake Mohonk in new Paltz, NY. Her patient was the Sister of the owner. I went to Google and found this which gives some sort of idea about the place. If you are staying there than you are allowed to drive your car to the place but as I said visitors got there by bus.
