I'm glad you all like these images... The first two are pretty much just standard PS filters... Not sure which... I'll have to look them up. The last one is a bit trickier... That is a VERY tight crop out of a much larger image... Then I applied the PS poster edges filter... Then I selected everything except the bee and its wings and applied a strong scratch removal filter... Then I used genuine fractals to up-size the image... So I can potentially print this thing HUGE.
I am almost done with my theater stint (closing night on Saturday)... so I may have a bit more time for photography and blogging...
Wow really cool photos Mal! Those are some amazing effects you used. The bee is so artistic and colorful.
Great to see you Mal -- and your artwork as well!

Happy Birthday Perrie!
Greetings MalamuteMan! Nice images.
Did you use the magnetic lasso tool (in PS) to isolate the bee ? I've been playing with that a bit, it's definitely tricky.
No worries Lilac! I took no offense... And I know what you mean about the cartoonish... It is the PS Poster Edges filter that creates that.
Wow!
Pictures of my favorite insect, the lovely, the mysterious, the truly amazing bee. I love your pictures, dear Mal! And I've been missing you!
((((((((((Mal))))))))))
Thanks Mal!
Hi Pat,
No, I used the "Quick Selection Tool"... This is the most wonderful selection tool EVER!!! Also feathered the selection just a little...
I only want your pollen ...
John Belushi
Aunt Betty has it...
Absolutely beautiful pictures Mal. The colors seem to jump out at you.
