My New (Blue) Best Friend

He came by this morning for a bite to eat; he eats -- I get to take his picture.

Quid-pro-quo.

Seems fair.

Very Nice-I've tried to do that with the Hummingbirds that come to the feeder at the Mountain House. Fast little things they are.

Beautiful photos Mac. Love the blue in them

Mike in Ga. great photos. So Elvis followed you around, did you feed him?

I had a pair of Canadian Geese lay two eggs in my boat a couple of weeks ago...LOL..the male attacked me when I got close.

I'm probably uninformed, but I think they are pretty smart birds... They seem to be aware of things. And they are very pretty! Of course, they scare the little birds to death!

WONDERFUL picture! I can't wait to see your movie! Smile.gif

They are handsome birds, but total bastards. I was watching over a nest of baby sparrows once, and I came home to find them torn from their nest anddisemboweled all over the porch. I know it was the blue jays that did it. They dominate the bird feeders and will kill anything thatthey canif itmight compete for thefeed.

Thanks Dowser,

RE:My Movies

What I'd like to do is take my .mov ans .avi files and do whatever needs to be done to post them as embedded videos on NT either as parts of articles/discussions or, in Reply boxes.

Can you give me a step-by-step process for that?

Hal,

I actually find Blue Jays to be quite spooky around feeders although they are otherwise aggressive as being in the Crow family.

They may be aggressive, even nasty at times, but they're having a tough time trying to win back a pennant. Well, maybe the Leafs will do better this year. Oh! you're talking about birds! Sorry.

Then go with the Phillies. Joe Carter's retired.

I'm flattered, Mike in Ga. . Can you describe those "cobalt blue bluebirds," or better yet, hopefully you'll get a picture and post it; I'm addicted to identifying species of all kinds.

Bluebirds are Thrushes (like Robins) and have the orange-brown bellies.

You probably know this already, but in case not, don't get too close to Canadd Geese particularly with a brood of goslings they will hiss and charge and actually attack.
