Want to spend the rest of your life on Mars? You can apply to do so now.
Mars One, a non-profit organization that plans to send humans on a one-way trip to establish a permanent settlement on Mars in 2023, began accepting online applications Monday.

Do you by any chance mean any members of NewsTalkers? LOL
Want to sign up, Buzz? It couldn't hurt, could it? We are going to die one way or another, why not at least make it an adventure? Think about the possible ways we could die - road accident, cancer, gunshot, terrorist explosions on the ground or in the air....and we won't be able to choose our hour of death with any of those, but with this...voila! We are fully prepared!
It's unlikely I'd make it to launch date, and I don't think because of my age I would qualify even if I did. But if you're intending to go, I'll have someone send you my ashes.
Hmmmm any chance we could get all those politicians to go? I mean they would be able to get the atmosphere a start, what with all the hot air they spew!
