Reincarnation - What would you choose?

Reincarnation - What would you choose?

Here's one of mine I rescued from the other place. There it was a poll, but that facility is not available yet here, so just choose and explain.

7129_discussions.jpg A belief in reincarnation has been a part of many religions and cultures throughout history. Some of us might remember the interest that was aroused by the story of Bridey Murphy. Although it is a complex concept, a simple definition of it would be the belief that the soul, upon death of the body, comes back to earth in another body or form. All complexities aside, forgetting the effect that your actual karma might dictate, if you had the a choice to return after death, which one of these would you choose? Can you tell us the reasons for your choice?

1. A beautiful, intelligent, talented, healthy young woman

2. A handsome intelligent talented, healthy young man

3. A prize Arabian steed, winning the Triple Crown

4. A bristlecone pine tree in a protected forest

5. An eagle

6. A clairvoyant

7. A person born in the year 3000 A.D.

8. Yourself, very young but with full knowledge of the life you had lived

9. Never mind. I don't want to come back.

Not a bad idea. I've amended the choicea to include a number 9 - i.e. not wanting to come back.

Me, I'm going with 8.

Hey Buzz, you didn't say what you would choose?

The last time I was reincarnated I came backas a human sperm. That was one hell of a race! At the end I ran into a human egg also in the process of reincarnating. We've been inseparable ever since, but I think I want something less demanding next time around.

Wow that's tough I quite like #8, I sometimes wonder what would of happened if I zigged instead of zagged at certain times in my life. But I also like #9, if I could not come back but still be somewhere, watching? If Angel's exist that would be cool! As the world is evolving now I am sometimes not sure if it will be worth being here in 100+ years.

Somehow, I don't think we get to choose. I mean, I don't know that much about it, but somehow, I just don't think we can choose.

And if we could, I have no idea what I'd choose. Smile.gif

Everything has its good points and bad points. Maybe a rock. That would be karma... A rock where geologist go on field trips and bang on your head to get a chunk off. 3.gif

8 is not my choice because I'm afraid of what I would be if tried to come back and correct any wrong moves. It might make me boring or some sort of prude.

If I knew the things I know now at a younger age, I may be tempted to take advantage of others. I can do without the temptation.

Good news, they don't eat liver! I looked it up and they eat plankton and small organisms that they filter out of the water as they cruise along. Very nice, no need to go shopping.

Birds are very busy and they have to watch for predators all the time. They also poop on themselves.

Only not particularly funny and somewhat dark. Worth a peruse if you are into that sort of thing. He wrote another titled, Into the Deep, in which cetaceans turn out to be the true sentient beings on the globe. Interesting as well as fun.

I'm having second thoughts about coming back as myself. That would mean I'd have to re-marry my ex to have my Most Wonderful Daughter. Leaping into that can of worms would be a difficult endeavor at best. Maybe if I had a great deal of time to think it through tactically all would end being happy and perky and bursting with love.
