Like a lot of people, I find cars designed and manufactured prior to 1970 to be works of art in their own right. Here are some of my new poster series images - Classic Autos.
Sorta looks like a 50 or 51 Pontiac but hard to say without seeing more of it. Beautiful cars Mac. Hope Tsula sees this article. He's got some great shots of old woodies.
I love the expressions that old cars have, too-- that Buick looks like it needs braces for its eyeteeth. But, they're all works of art, and the way they did things was truly interesting!
GREAT article, A. Mac! I love your posters! Thanks!
This is about the neatest car I ever drove: Nellie Belle-- 1965 Mercury Comet:
And this was what I thought was Daddy's neatest car, a 1967 Toronado. I got to drive it once, and it was like sitting on the tail of the comet, and that big front hood whipped around!
Aunt Lois, all 4'6" of her drove this monster-- Named Bessie:
And THIS is what Grandpa had, which had died, so I never saw it up and running, 1948 Kaiser:
Ah, a 1960 Caddy Convertible. My father bought a 1960 Caddy Coupe de Ville. It was so damn long you needed two parking spots to park it. What really upset me was that he had first looked at a 1959 Jaguar Mark IX which I totally fell in love with, but he passed on it for the Caddy. To me that Jag was "Royalty" - soft glove leather, solid burled walnut - the poor man's Rolls Royce.
Classics!

The Porsch that James Dean was in when he died? Ugh.
His grave is in Fairmount, IN, and it is still covered in lipstick from women kissing it...
Ok, I'm dumb, I know, about cars-- but that looks like a T-bird to me, from 1963. It isn't, I know, but it looks like one.
Love em, Mac. They are so cool! Takes you back to that period.
Wow! Those are neat!
