A Spring Snow Storm
I was working on my grade cards much of the weekend, so I didn't catch any local news.....as in.....weather forecasts! I awoke at 4 am to get ready for work to the sound of snowplows and truly thought I was dreaming. It is almost April, that must be a dream , I thought.
After doing my Happy Dance for the Snow Day our family received, I went outside to fill our bird-feeders for our little frequent guests. This cute little pine cone seemed to be begging to have its picture taken!
What is it like where YOU live today, my NT friends??
Stephi,
What a beautiful picture! I didn't know you were so talented. No snow yet, but I hear it's coming out way..
awww.....thanks, Miss Perrie! All I did is snap the picture....God is a very good artist!
Would you like to borrow some of our snow? I'm happy to share it with you....lol
The view from my office window near DC. Thankfully, this is the most snow we have had in almosttwo years. Traffic here is miserable enough without dealing with snow.
Its still snowing in Ohio off and on. Trees are covered bird feeder is almost empty again. I only feed the birds during nasty weather and we seem to keep getting more. The Robins are flying around in a panic. Its as bad south as it is here so they cannot fly out of it. Hope it lets up or there will be a lot of birds lost.
I can't imagine dealing with all that traffic each day, Hal! How do you do it? Yes, the snow would make things much worse....Patient drivers are not in abundance in most places, but less so in big cities! We live in a little historic town, but I teach in a city nearby. That's enough city for me....
Retired: I noticed that I've had to fill the feeders more this past weekend, too!
I took this picture this morning....It has snowed quite a bit more since. It is coming down heavy right now and my kids and I are planning on wearing our jammies inside-out and doing the snow dance tonight in hopes for ONE MORE DAY off! haha
Although, if Spring weather does not arrive soon, my poor husband may die of cabin fever! lol
Naughty forecasters, Gunny....I wonder if they have Weather Forecaster Time Out Chairs?
That is so beautiful, rls8r!!!
Lovely Picture! 34 degrees here this morning, not much snow left, though friends are still riding Snowmobiles in the Northern Reaches and the Allegany regions of New York State.
26 this morning and it should get up to 65 this PM. Bright and sunny and not a drop of moisture in sight. Golly, I wish we would get some rain or snow.
Your place is a dream! I LOVE IT!!!! Oh my Goodness! And I love the lighting on the early morning picture, rls! Keep it just that very way! It is charming and lovely, and that is how the earth was right then. You captured it! Love it!
Awww....thanks for the pine cone thing. That was nice! I love the message you gave about that. It does wait until just the right time to release the seeds and that is such a beautiful, hope-filled thing to do! A great encouragement for me today!!!!!
Grump.....Grump, Grump, Grump.....I am completely jealous of you right now!
Thank you, Spikegary! I heard a nuthatch coming down one of our trees for the suet I just put out, and looked up at that cute little pine cone! Do you love the mountains so much? I would, for sure!
Gee Gee I need some beach pictures, dear!!!! WOOOOOOO!!!!!
Enjoy that time with your girl! How special!
My family owns a place int he Adirondacks-I spent my youth vacationing there and now go there at least a couple times a summer-it is incredibly gorgeous, every season. We have a lot of snow throughout the state-It was 'flurries' this morning in the Niagara Frontier-longest winter in many years for us-I'm in the minorirty-I like it!
I took grandson out to the desert for a driving lesson. We saw road runners, coyote poop and quail. There were sand hill cranes flying over head, I could hear them far above but I never saw them because of the sun shining down in my face. They fly really high.
Hey, my cousin lives in Datona Beach.
PARTY AT GRUMP'S COUSIN'S AND GEE GEE'S ON THE BEACH!!!!!
ya' might have to get in line for that, Bruce!
All wrapped up in snow, sits the little pine cone! But I am happy it is finally spring, Stephi! Time for the thaw, time to bring some color into our lives!
