You shouldn't deride your imagery; the opalescent foam in contrast with the deep blue horizon and the foreground, rocky shore makes a dreamy composition. Quite nice.
Thank you, Mac. The most beautiful things in life happen by accident - this is one of the images that simply happened! Yes, it does have a dreamy effect - I just didn't think of it!
For me it is incredibly soothing to see photos of the waves rolling in. Perhaps it's because I'm Aquarius that I feel so comforted being beside the sea, a river or a lake, watching the flow.
Without having to go up and over the high rise brides around here this is the best place to see the sunset. We don't get to do this anymore but it was fun! Sunset off the Daytona Beach Main Street Bridge, as I recall.
Smoooooooth!
Click on the pic for best look.
It appears that no one wants to go with the flow.
Lovely, Mac! It does have the silken appearance! I can almost imagine a fabric like that.
I want to sit and dangle my feet in the silk. Just lovely.
Reflections in still water and the phenomena of turbulence and motion in streams are among my favorite subjects.
Nice shots! Please continue to share your images.
Beautiful image regardless of how much the beer costs.
Really lovely photos Mike. Great job!
Wow Barb, what a great photo from you. Lovely mood you got.
Mac,
That does look like silk... nice and smooth. As always wonderful! And you seemed to have inspired others, too!
Now how would we describe this one? Not a silk-effect, perhaps, but I liked the blues effect personally. I am no photographer, really, though.

These are gorgeous!
These are, as a combination, a wonderful photo essay on the changing moods of light and water together. Thank you for posting them!
More silk.
To everyone who posted a photo (or two), thank you. All were beautiful, and Mac, I spotted a brook trout in yours.
Although silk was invented in China, there sure isn't much silky water where I am:
Keep the images coming! Everyone
I'm not certain but the color is probably due to iron and sandstone. The green would be algae or moss.
Thank you, Barb!
Beautiful!
May I join you for the dollar beer, Barb???The view is free, right? Priceless!
A view of the shimmering ripples to soothe the weary mind...
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing them with us!

I can sit and watch waves for hours, mesmerized. Same with campfires...
Simple pleasures for simple minds! (me, not you!)
Please don't sell yourself short, Dowser, you are extremely talented. Appreciation of simple pleasures does not limit a person's abilities.
Not silky.....maybe kind of like cotton.

No apologies needed; nice spring images.
