I have learned some things from A.M. and would love to learn more. I liked these particular pictures because it was cool visually but it waschallengingportrait -wise. I am still trying to understand "framing" and the "rule of thirds" and this one was kinda fun!
Here's what I will do ... and soon; I'll post images that illustrate certain basic photographic concepts ... but rather than make the articles academic and technical, I'll use captions to "critique" them so-to-speak ...
And anyone can ask any questions they like and I will do my best to respond.
There will also be challenges ... either I or any NT member can post them ... nothing complicated ... mostly fun ... and no put downs ... just friends sharing their pictures.
How's that?
All comments, suggestions, ideas ... are welcomed.
Image-editing (Photoshop, etc.) questions ... we can do those as well.
I think it best to post articles in the FORUM/Photography & Art section rather than the group page. This will give the group more exposure (no pun intended) and hopefully attract more members.
I have an idea for the next article ... I will post a number of photographs that will have a common aspect ... and ask members to identify that aspect.
That's all I'll say for now ... in the meantime ... share some pix.
All right then; later today I will post several images and ask how they are similar ... not based on their subject matter, rather based on technique and appearance. Once we have the answer, I'll pose a challenge for our members that will be based on the images and explain how they can emulate the technique/appearance ...
... which they will find quite useful and effective.
Please share your images ... if anyone is interested, I'd enjoy posting photo challenges from time-to-time, or, have you do so.
Whaddya' say?
Take a quack at it!
It's a Mandarin Duck ...
I'm in. BTW that duck is outstanding!
Sounds fun!
Here is something that caught my eye on the way out to the dump with garden waste this last fall...
Really nice Larry. So many good photographers in this group. We really need to get this group going.
I like the idea. I'm in.
Thank you Perrie!

What does a Cantonese duck look like?
Me too.
One whose goose is cooked!
