I actually thought that this topic was really redundant because of News and Politics. How would we decide whether to post a news story here or on N & P? Perhaps if we post it here it won't get blown off the front page as fast.
Hunter lost in Australian wilderness for six days ate ants to survive
Reg Foggerdy had nothing to drink for almost a week after leaving his car in pursuit of a camel and getting lost.
Police say a 62-year-old recreational hunter lost in a hot and arid region of the Australian Outback survived without water for six days by eating ants.
Police Superintendent Andy Greatwood says Reg Foggerdy left a car driven by his brother late on Wednesday in pursuit of a camel in the Great Victoria Desert in Western Australia state.
Police trackers found the former miner sitting under a tree on Tuesday morning 15 kilometers (9 miles) from where he became lost.
Mr Greatwood said Mr Foggerdy spent the last two days sitting under a tree eating black ants.
He says Mr Foggerdy "was extremely dehydrated, disoriented and basically delusional."
"[He had] no water whatsoever for six days."
