Stunning!!!  I love Spring and Summer.  I love the beauty of Fall.  I like Winter as well.  J would just like to spend it on some South Pacific Island every now and then. LOL

Exceptional work as usual A-mac.

I think my personal favorite might be the "Misty Forest Trail" shot since I've got a thing about grey, hazy days.

I made this a double post because I'm unsure of the proper edicate for the new site but your shots made me think of one I got last week, of a sunset up on my front street.

Fell free to delete this post A-mac if you don't think it should be displayed here.

Beautiful shot, perfect composition

Thanks. :-)

Fall been a little duller than usual this year.  I guess dry conditions and no deep cold snaps yet.

However I did get this bit of color off the back deck a few days back.

Hope others stop by and offer up some of their own fall shots.

Thanks again for your work A-mac.

AH your tree-lined lane has a story-book quality. Your second photo of the leaves looks like stained glass. Love your images.

It's beautiful!

Our trees are slowly turning brown and falling off...  I guess we didn't have enough rain!

That's what happens here - although there is a little colour here and there, the leaves just turn yellow or brown, and fall off.

Thanks guys, glad you you all enjoyed the shots.

By the by, I noticed that I miss identified that street shot as "sunset" but that picture was of a sunrise during one of my morning walks.

Delete it? Are you kidding A.H.? That's a fabulous photo - I always loved to see the sunlight streaking through the trees.

Every day until the end of the autumn "color show," I will likely add to the AUTUMN Gallery; today I have added several new shots …

… and the day ain't over.

I've posted 18 autumn images in my Gallery … trying to pick the best (most colorful/interesting) from previous autumn seasons and some from this autumn. Once I finish taking the 2015 shots, it will be interesting to see how it compares to the other years.

I invite anyone to do as Arkansashermit has done, namely share autumn photos in this thread, in the Creative Arts Group, or as part of one's on discussion.

It is my understanding that the hues of fall are the natural colors of the leaves.

They only appear in fall after the first deep frost(s) because the leaves stop doing photosynthesis.

To conserve moisture leaves stop producing energy for the trees through light. The lack of chlorophyll which keeps the leaves green subsides. The natural colors emerge to our eyes.

The process is nifty. The appearance of the leaves beautiful while still on the trees.

When the drop to the ground and I have to rake them daily, they become butt ugly!
